  1. Then he's earned the job as far as I'm concerned.
  2. I mean, he has a guy... . Not that I would wish Ron Rivera on Sam Howell.
  3. The Chiefs' CBs are gonna lose them the game. The Raiders don't even have to complete passes because the Chiefs are just committing pass interference constantly.
  4. Honestly I would. I'd trade them CJ Henderson for a moldy ham sandwich though.
  5. Ouch. Might not wanna leave one of the best players in the league wide ass open deep.
  6. It sucks to go elsewhere thinking you're going to resurrect your career and show everyone you're a great coach and instead you end up just proving that you were always mediocre and you got floated by some generational talents in Cam and Luke. Yeah, that would probably make you bitter.
  7. MNF kicking off shortly. Meanwhile... evidently Alex Smith is just now waking up to the reality of Ron Rivera as an NFL coach. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/10/10/alex-smith-i-couldnt-believe-ron-rivera-drove-the-bus-over-carson-wentz/ How many times did we watch old Riverboat throw players under the bus here in Carolina?
  8. Pretty much exactly what I was gonna say after reading the initial post.
  9. I think he did until he realized he was in over his head in the NFL. A lot less competition in the world of soccer in America. Soccer here is like NFL Europe.
  10. Oh Jesus. No we don't. Darnold is awful and he's been proving it his entire career.
  11. Until we actually have success folks are going to yearn for a return to the last time we did have success. Just the way it goes. It sucks to suck.
  12. What's the deal with that shade? Saying "if he put in the work" like Cam hasn't always been known for busting his ass.
  13. I mean, I'm down if Cam's down. I just don't see it ending well.
  14. The roster is closer than the organization IMO. Tepper said when he took over that you need a head coach, a QB, and a GM. Everything else is basically a want. Those are the three needs. So... Head coach? Nope. We just fired the clown Tepper went all in on. QB? Yeah... no. GM? Tepper spent quite a bit of time talking today about how poorly we've managed our resources. So... yeah, probably not. By Tepper's own standards we definitely don't have two of the three needs and very possibly have none.
  15. Hell, that's like saying someone is a better coach than Matt Rhule.
  16. I mean, seriously. Have you seen the Steelers this year? Their QB situation isn't much better than ours. If they won't even consider putting Rudolph on the field then no other team should even consider trading literally anything for him.
  17. No more trading assets for other teams' trash.
  18. If you're going to put a guy in an interim role with 11 games left to play, you have to at the very least put forth the act that you're going to give him a chance to earn the job long-term. How is he supposed to win the locker room if you come out and say, "Yeah, this clown is gonna be out on his ass with the other clown as soon as this season is over"? I mean, let's say Wilks comes in and goes 6-5 down the stretch. Do I expect that? Hell no. But let's say he does. Honestly, I'd say he's earned the job in that case.
  19. We went for the feel good Cam return last year and it didn't work out. It sucks, but that shoulder is shot.
  20. I just think you really want to see Luke coaching for us. I get it, every good player we've ever had we've all talked about them possibly coming back and coaching for us. I'm just being honest though. This current situation sucks. If Luke wants to coach and wants to coach for us he should probably just sit tight and make it known to the next coach that he'd love to be a part of his staff. LB coach, defensive "quality control", whatever. We're a dumpster fire right now in organizational chaos. That's an awful situation to try to get your feet wet.
  21. Moton has basically been the OT version of Trai Turner. Was pretty good (not as good as Turner though), then got paid and became a JAG.
  22. I have no idea what your field is but what you're saying really isn't relevant here. If he wants to get into coaching I'm certain he could find a far better opportunity than this worst case scenario opportunity. That's what I'm saying. I'd never give anyone the advice of jumping head first into the worst possible opportunity available, especially when there would be far better opportunities if they look around. Yeah, it might work out great for him if he's great. But guess what, so would the much better opportunity. It's all risk, no reward. It would just be a flat out dumb move
  23. We shouldn't trade DJ. We should entertain trading CMC. That contract is an albatross and he's an oft-injured RB. Yeah, he's an absolute difference maker when healthy but that "when healthy" addendum is a huge problem and big money RBs seem to never pay off. As good as he is, our future would look better with significant additional draft capital in our pocket and he and his contract elsewhere. Hurts to say it because I love the guy but it is what it is.
  24. If I could get a 1st and unload the full contract I'd take that deal without hesitation.
