Why Corbett (and Brady Christensen) will make good Centers
Jon Snow replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not so much concerned about ability as I am about availability. Dan is a bigger gambler than I would be in his seat. I'm not sure Canales really knows enough about the situation to be concerned. I sure hope he can come up with a creative offense and is smart enough to play chess on Sundays. I swear everytime I see him he looks like some rich Karen's personal trainer following Dan around just happy to be there. -

The Jags need rw help just like the Panthers and they cut this guy. Unless we have a rash if injuries I would look elsewhere. -

Grades are in; how did Panthers do in this years draft
Jon Snow replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The only difference is that Sanders is nothing like Thimps and Tremble. As a matter of fact he is twice the TE they are. That doesn't mean he will be anything at this level but the skill set is completely different. -
I cannot believe anyone still watches those goobers. I do not listen to the pre or post game garbage. It became unbearable a decade ago. It's all I can do is get through the broadcast without putting it on mute.

Sure they had fans and fans will do what fans do. I really liked both of them myself but I knew paying one or both was a bad idea. One has nothing to do with the other. But fans will label any opinions other than they want hear as hate or whatever they choose to throw around. I never listen to that noise because it ignorance at minimum and stupidity at worse.

I doubt he gets all the reps and snaps in preseason. But yeah, the kid better ball or things will get ugly quickly.

Penix will not see the field unless Cousins gets injured. If something as unfortunate as that were to happen I would think they would be praying he balled out. If he doesn't then things will get interesting in Atlanta.

That's my vote.

Panthers Select Jonathan Brooks RB - 46th Pick, Round 2
Jon Snow replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Despite what many believe Young cane chunk it at least 50 yards. That's enough to stretch the field and about all the time he will have to get rid of the ball. His problem is his accuracy on those throws. He will need to work on thst if he wants to stay in this league. He's a rhythm qb also. Meaning that If they can't get a couple of 1st downs in a row it throws him off from what I can tell. -

I honestly have no idea. I only watched the two games against us and I didn't know who their OC was at the time. He looks like he's in over his head to me. -

He's not going to be Fox ball. It will be modern-day running game. Steve Wilks was Fox ball. I would think it would lean more towards a Shanahan style than a Fox staple. He's so green it's hard to know who's playbook he will pull from. -

You get an F. -
The flaw in Hurney's team building plan was to not keep draft a RB before it was time to pay that second contract. He seemed to do that with every position but LB. Oys was as if he hit on a player he paid them regardless of position and said I'm good until the wheels fell off. He hit on 3 or 4 in a row and wanted to pay them all. Doofus could have let each one walk and kept drafting them. He had a knack for it for a while. Granted they were 1st rounders mostly. I think Deshaun might have been in the second. Davis was a FA but still, the goober could pick a winner with RB's.

I thought it was a bad contract at the time and it looks even worse now. -
Panthers Select Trevin Wallace LB - Pick 72, Round 3
Jon Snow replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
To be honest I think beyond the injuries there is concern he has peaked as a LB. He is great as is but coupled with the ware and tear he already has on his body I can see why a lot of teams didn't want to risk a high pick on him. I do not fault anyone either way.
