He may be in the mix. I'm going on the assumption they are drafting one as every indication I've seen says they are. I suppose it's in the realm of possibilities that they do forgo drafting one from this class. It certainly could be all a smokescreen.

What I think ultimately happens is that they will try to trade down a few spots to pick up some extra picks if they sign Carr. They will draft a TE or WR and a developmental qb to sit behind Carr to develop. The order of those selections will depend on how the qb's come off the board.

It appears to me we have more needs than our current amount of draft picks can provide. Unless they nail every single one of any they have left after trading up.

Its misinformation season so it's hard to get a feel for where they will go with this thing. To pull off what Fitterer has said they want to do it appears to me they need more 1st and 2nd round picks. He's repeatedly said they wants playmakers at QB, TE and WR at least. So to me that would getting at least two of those 2 in the first and getting lucky with a 2nd round pick. Someone explain to me how they do that if they trade up and only end up with 1 1st and if their lucky 1 2nd round pick?

Mooch went over some of his game tape and asked him to critique his own flaws. Footwork is an issue when he is under pressure. He has a lot of flaws in his game that will get exposed at this level. I'm not sure all of them can be coached out of him without effecting his timing. He's a huge gamble in the top 10.

The only thing the worries me about Stroud is the ability to transition based in how there developed at OSU. I know no one wants to hear this but OSU is notorious for running and teaching a specific system that doesn't help the guys transition into the nfl and become successful. I heard that mentioned yesterday on that network. I wish I could remember who it was that said it now. But it is a real issue that goes unmentioned outside of the scouting world.

I watched an interview he had with Steve Marucci on nfl network that impressed me a lot. It was a coaches session kind of thing where he throws a complicated play at him he draws up on a white board. It's a complicated old west coast play SF used that he goes over rather quickly and then erases it. He then sits down and changes the conversation for a while and stops to ask him to go to the board and draw up the play he went over with him a few minutes ago. Richardson gets up, starts drawing it up perfectly and describes the reads and the progressions exactly the way Mooch explained it to him in like 10 seconds. He nails it. I was very impressed.
