  1. It takes a year in most cases for a LT. Less time for a RT. Y'all know that.
  2. If you think about it, there are few great players who can become great coaches. My theory: the best coaches are the overachievers who had to outwork, out-prepare, out hustle, etc. more talented players to succeed. I look at the NFL head coaches, and I see more players like Dan Reeves, Herm Edwards, Mike Ditka, (old school) Mike Vrabel, Frank Reich, Kliff Kingsbury, and Ron Rivera---all were either not stars or they were known for their tenacious work ethic. My theory is the same with some teachers (I am in education). If things occur naturally to you, as they do with the great athletes, it is difficult to coach what you never had to develop or focus on. While Luke might be a great coach because he is so well-rounded as a person, he may not understand why you need to motivate a person to play football or how to make a player translate from the film room to the practice field to the stadium. I dunno, but the best NFL players just are not the best coaches for some reason.
  3. You may have missed the point. A panther board is not where you go to promote fair weather fandom. That was the point I was attempting to project.
  4. So let me get this straight. You go to a Panthers Board to create a thread that informs Panther fans that you will not be watching the game Sunday. Is there something I am missing here?
  5. Newton's child is not named Isaac. They went with Fig.
  6. When I need sound advice, whether it be about football, finances, or romance---I somehow trust this guy.
  7. He nearly had 2 fumbles. I am guessing he had about 4 touches, and 2 of them ended up on the ground.
  8. We lead the league in blowing leads. A lame duck coach does not get leads! (That is all I got)
  9. He comes from the Steeler organization where they have had 3 coaches in about 50 years---maybe he thought Rhule could build like he did at Temple, Baylor, but is now starting to realize that this aint temple or baylor
  10. Losing costs more money than they are paying Rhule. Maff 101
  11. I do not understand those saying he gets a few extra years due to his contract. I mean, eating $8m per year is not as bad as losing for 10 years as a team--what that does to ticket sales, merchandising, the brand, etc. If we lose 10 games this season, time to move on.--if not sooner.
  12. there was a subtle sign caught on camera at the game last Sunday. They showed Tepper, and he was, very indistinctly, shaking his head.
  13. I rarely saw a LB other than Shaq stuffing the run. DBs contain on the edge--a lot if this is SNOW.
  14. He's not even in a cast. He'll be fine.
  15. I like when the OL gets recognized, so I would like to see an OL get the ball and give it to a kid.
  16. I will be honest--after 2 years of QBs on life support (Teddy and Darnold), this is great. I really hope Baker lights it up this year.
  17. I saw that coming, but for those who were upset by this, he cleared waivers on a rookie 5th rounder salary at a position that is generally in demand across the NFL.
  18. Um, yes, you kinda do. If you can't read "the" I doubt the other words were less difficult. I understand that picking on someone in a movie called "Dumb and Dumber" about illiteracy might be a sensitive topic for some people. But it was good movie--just relax. It was a joke.
  19. You didn't just go Henry V on me did you? Was not prepared to transition from a tragedy to a history play.
  20. That is offensive to call him that. Say, "The head coach is retarded."
