The reason people pile on Sam are simple, he showed nothing to warrant giving up draft picks for and then we prematurely pick up his 5th year option and since then he’s played worst than any of his previous years with the jets, mostly because of circumstances here. the guy off the street that has performed better, he’s done and won’t have a job next year according to some posters, doesn’t add up

As bad as Sam has been at times I doubt he’s throwing shots purposely, I don’t like sam’s play, but the person doesn’t strike me as that type of guy. sounds like word vomit, two things can be true, he shouldn’t bring up anyone else but himself and he probably mentioned cam’s name without knowing how it appeared

Cam is better and cheaper and we didn’t have to trade draft capital for him. this is as simple as it gets, if we weren’t on the hook for 19 mil to Sam next year while also not giving up picks I guarantee posters wouldn’t be coming down as hard on him qb of the future may not be on the roster but you can’t judge based off the collective group we field this season, and there’s no need to waste next years season just because darnold is getting paid, this ain’t high school ball, you put your best 11 on the field
