What's the success rate for QB's who lead their teams to 51 total yards in an NFL game in their first start?

I don't see it from Fields. Didn't see it before the draft either and was happy we passed on him. The Bears have a horrid offense though so there's not much you can take away from it, but Fields just seems like Trubisky 2.0 with worse passing but better scrambling. Brutal for bears fans.

No agenda. We are all hoping the Panthers and Darnold are good. We played the easiest team on the schedule yesterday and he struggled to score. Made a lot of one-read throws. Here's hoping its just Week 1 jitters...but I don't know how you can view that performance and say he played well. Teddy had some good ratings last year too, yet the narrative here was that he sucked and needed to go.

I thought Darnold was bad despite the stats. He looks every bit as a game manager QB who has the yips and will completely miss open receivers because hes too nervous, but the trade off from Teddy is he can throw the ball down the field. Not sold and I'm not sure it was worth the trade/shakeup yet. I'm sorry but as an NFL QB you can't miss easy 5 yard throws to wide open receivers. We should easily have had 30+ points. And what's worse is that the coaching staff knew it and had to babify their gameplan for him.

If we lose its because Darnold sucks and he isn't the quarterback of the future Any average or better QB would carve up this Jets team

7-10. Clearly still a year away, next year with the first cap space in a long while and another strong draft (hopefully on the O-Line) we will be a pretty great team everywhere except QB, and it sounds like Tepper has the gumption to figure that out quick

We need talent everywhere but RB and WR. This isn't a good roster.

This isn't surprising, we still have a young and generally poor roster across the board. We need a ton of talent at QB, OL, DL, LB, DB, and ST. We are still paying from the effects of bad cap management and drafting over the last 5 years.

Jimmy Clausen can at least throw a touchdown. I would bet the under on 0.5 touchdowns if you gave Grier 10 straight offensive drives. Clausen also had a 107.6 rating in a win once. Grier undoubtedly would go 0-16. He is that bad.

Is there a Panthers QB in our history that is worse than him? I don't think so I'd rather they bring in someone that can throw the ball downfield and be aggressive even if they aren't accurate. Or someone that can run. Grier solves no purpose. He doesn't have an NFL skill and he's slower than molasses.

I'm serious, I'd rather have Tony Pike or Randy Fasani. Is Grier the worst QB the Panthers have ever had? I mean even Armanti Edwards had big plays

How was Will drafted? Did he put up stats at WV? He acts like he doesn't know how to throw the ball.

Just spend an entire draft on the offensive line, we'd have to hit on 1 or 2 starters somehow

Liangelo doesn't have the drive or hunger that his brothers have. He basically can shoot, and that's it. He might make the Swarm, but there's no chance he makes the roster over Cody Martin.

Charlie Campbell reported that "one team drafting in the top 10 that desperately needed a LT told me that Rashawn Slater can't play LT and they project Slater to be a LG or C in the NFL" (clearly talking about the Panthers as he has an inside source) Makes me believe this draft was Sewell or bust and they didn't like any LT prospects
