i still remember watching him hit #715. It was a very memorable moment. Probably the most memorable sports moment I ever witnessed.

The list can definitely be a little flexible. A few qb's get on that list for a couple of years, then fall off of it. I would say that both Delhomme and Cam were on it for a couple of years. Point remains though that its going to be hard to get one.

If Fitterer is correct, then there are maybe 6-8 franchise qb's in the league. Wilson, Rodgers, Mahomes, Watson, Brady, maybe Allen, and I can't really think of anyone else. Our odds of getting are fairly slim.

The difference between winning and losing in the NFL razor thin. If we averaged 5 points more a game, or allowed 5 less, or some combination thereof, we would be in the playoffs this year. Add a few players in some key positions, and we could be significantly better next year. Or we could be worse. But personally I think with a guy like Watson, we would be significantly better. Not that I think he will come here, he won't.

It took the Patriots 30 years to become good

Bill B is a good coach, but he has exactly one playoff win without Tom Brady as the starting qb. His overall record without Brady is under 500. -

30 years and one extremely lucky draft pick. -
The reality is that winning consistently and winning superbowls without a elite qb is difficult to do. And drafting one is hit and miss, and tends to be more miss than hit. Watson is the closest thing to a sure thing. And in truth, I don't think we are as far away as some do. We weren't that far away this year. Pick up a good corner and a couple of decent to good olineman in the next two drafts, and we could put ourselves in very good position. Granted, its a difficult decision to make though.

For a qb who is as close to a sure thing as is possible in the NFL. No doubt about it. That being said, I doubt we get him.
-
You might be right about that.
-
I am fairly certain that Urban Myer wouldn't mind coaching a guy like Watson either.

Surprised Jacksonville is not on that list. Jacksonville could get an established and proven young star, and the Texans could draft Trevor L or whomever they please.

Prime Tom Brady or Prime Aaron Rodgers - Who would you want?
Davidson Deac II replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, in fairness if I were "building" a team, Rodgers would not be my guy either. I would want someone younger. Mahomes, Allen, or even Wilson. On the other hand, if I already had a very good team and all I needed was a qb, Rodgers would definitely be one of the top 2 or 3 I would pick. Of course, that is looking at them now. The original question was in their prime. I would pick Brady over Rodgers. But not Wilson. -

He was before my time. I should caveat what I said earlier. Lawrence Taylor was probably the best linebacker I ever saw. Gradishar was very good though. -

Late 70's, early 80's. Played on some Denver teams that were mostly defense, very little offense. Probably would be better known if they had won a SB or two. -

Randy Gradishar was probably the best linebacker not named Luke that I ever saw. Although I think he only got to play a year or two with Elway. -

Personally, I would take Montana over either one of them, but probably Brady if I had to choose. -

The NFC North was just about as bad as the AFC east for most years. The Vikes have been decent, but Detroit and Chicago have most been bad during Rodgers time. Green Bay's failures have been in the playoffs mostly. -
I don't tend to buy types of stocks, (green, oil, financial etc...). I look at specific companies. Are they under valued, over valued, well managed, poorly managed etc... I bought UAL at 20 or so per share, sold it at 41. Bought Exxon at 35-40 per share, sold it at 44. Bought both because I felt they were undervalued and would eventually bounce back. Sold them when I made some money and didn't want to stick around for the long haul. I would consider buying green stocks, if I find the right company. But I may hold off on buying anything for a while.
-
Sold all my Exxon stock this week, made a decent profit overall. Haven't decided what to get into next.
-
Still letting my Exxon stock ride. Its down about 10% from where it was when I bought. Might have to sit for a while to make my money back. On the flip side, my 401k is doing fairly well, all things considered.
-
I made a significant amount on UAL, took the profits before they dropped again, then sunk it into Exxon. Its down a litte right now, but I expect it to go up within a year or two. In the meantime, they pay a nice dividend. Also bought a company called Mitek, but I am beginning to think that one wasn't a wise purchase.

Wearing or not wearing mask will not impact restaurants going bankrupt. I went to a restaurant last week. Wore my mask inside and got to the table, then was allowed to take it off. The Social distancing thing is more problematic for them, but to be honest, so few people are going out right now, that I am not sure it matters.

This is terrible. One of the most idiotic things Grump has done yet. If I were a hospital administrator, I would make a significant effort to ignore this requirement.

So it makes them mudbloods? Damn Muggles
