  1. That’s like questioning Anthony bourdains assessment of a dish because he did drugs
  2. What does being a hot head have to do with evaluating a qb? I’d still take Steve’s opinion on QB play over 95% 9of the posters here anyday. Bryce gets at least a full season to show what he can do.
  3. What a rebound by Franklin. That poo was ice cold.
  4. It’s almost like a teams calculus can change from the offseason to the regular season
  5. You realize nothing about this makes your conspiracy theory any less of a conspiracy theory, right? right?
  6. Gotta laugh whenever people bring up “pace” stats when we’re not even 1/8th through the season.
  7. How you got “in his own head” from this clip I have no idea
  8. Good post, watched this earlier and it was a nice perspective. i, like many, had some doubt creep in last night but have tried to keep some context in mind. -We’re 2 games in, one of which was in a *loud* ATL stadium at home for his first start, and the other against an *elite* defense in NO. Some concern is warranted/understandable but to outright say he’s a bust after two games is complete lunacy. - If Bryce doesn’t overthrow Mingo last week for the TD, or Mingo doesn’t drop that pass that hits him in the hands to get in the red zone yesterday, or TMJ doesn’t let up on that route last week, we’d probably be having bit different kind of a convo. Playing “what if” is useless, but I think the amount of near-hits is more indicative Bryce needing to work on and finding his timing with our guys and a lack of perimeter talent than him not being able to throw deep. - I think a lot of the “deflation” of the fan base is also due to seeing CJ Stroud have a better start and seeing how Howell is doing in WAS. I get it - I wanted Howell in that draft as well, and was team Stroud before really digging into the draft. But you can’t let FOMO and “the grass is always greener” color your entire evaluation of someone - like I said before, it’s been 2 games. We’ve got a lot of chapters to go before either of their books are written. do I wish he came in and out up 400 and some touchdowns week one or two? Of course, but the kid is a rookie and it’s not like he looked like Zach Wilson. bryce very well could bust, not denying that, but I’m not gonna give up hope on the kid two weeks into his career. at least we didn’t trade for deshaun. Shits looking dark in Cleveland rn.
  9. are we really complaining about uniform selections now jfc
  10. “why bother trying to improve protection for our young QB? Seasons over”
  11. Horn above Jason Peter, Otah, KB, Everette Brown, Pickles, or Vernon Butler is laughable
  12. Would still root for a losing team before I’d ever root for Watson and still glad we didn’t land him. Realistically if Bryce busts we’re probably looking at another 3-5 years before we have a chance to compete again but I have faith in Bryce. Way, way, way too early to be worried about him.
  13. Okay? The point still stands that the *only* first round pick of Scott’s that could be considered “bad” is Jaycee - and once again it’s due to an issue that never reared its head in college. So of Scott’s three first round picks you have one that looks good and send to be on his way to being a stud (Ickey) One who’s a great player but hurt too often (Horn) and one who just played their first game (Bryce) You can be bummed about Jaycee, I am too, but there’s nothing proving Scott is “bad” in the First round.
  14. Ickey and Derrick Brown have been good?? horn is the only one you could arguably call a bad pick, and even then, he showed no issues staying healthy in college. Just bad luck. there are things to criticize Scott for but i don’t think first round selections are one of them.
  15. Great play by a great db on a rookie. Sucks but I'm not worried about Bryce
