  1. If you want Wilks, you want mediocrity. Point blank period.
  2. I've been doing some critical thinking. It seems that most fans are ready to go back to mediocrity. I include myself in this. Yes what Wilks did was nothing short of amazing. But if you really think about it. He went 6-6. The guy before the fraud we had at HC was that. Mediocre. It's a reccuring theme it seems. Look at buffalo. Another Rivera tree product is up there and they are a playoffs team loaded with talent with a franchise QB and they.. can't. Get. Over. The. Hump. We're seeing it play out. Daboll left and all of a sudden the Bills aren't as good in offense. McDermott is still there but I digress. Honestly it's time to move on from the same thing that this team does over and over and over again and expects different outcomes. Yeah we'll be a playoffs team, sure it will be a good story to see Wilks that's from Charlotte have success but the writing is on the wall, he comes from that same tree of mediocrity. I for one am tired of that. It's time to go a different direction. No I don't want Payton. Or Dorsey. Steichen is the guy. Sirianni told him to take over and Hurts is basically an MVP candidate all of a sudden. He's the guy. /Rant over.
  3. fug the Saints and fug Sean Payton. Don't need him. There are plenty of good Candidates left and it wouldn't be "settling" like some people think.
  4. 2 1st rounders for old pill popper...fug no. No thanks. I rather "settle" for Wilks.
  5. Evil Hurney is the best Hurney. I hope you do not like meatballs.
  6. I'll always be a fan. Doesn't mean I want Payton though.
  7. No, you need to post pepe. No one else. fug that guy that questioned your thing bro. POST MORE PEPE
  8. That's the thing bro, we don't know and they as sure as hell don't know either. But that doesn't mean they aren't there. I'm sure when all these guys were picked they also had that potential label on them and they turned out to be just that, a franchise guy. The thing is the teams took a chance in the top 10 and got their guy. Yeah there's plenty that have not made it but there's a track record of late of QB's that are franchise guys in the top end of the 1st round. IN this draft, I'd have to say Young or Stroud have the highest potential to be the guys. Young being the higher of the two. Either way, you have to try, you can't sit back again and again, each year and expect to find treasure in other people's trash bins.
  9. Yet 5 out of 8 are still in it.. The point you're trying to make doesn't really dismiss the point I'm making. If anything you're making my point as well. Having first round talent QB's help you get to the post season and have a chance to compete in said post season.
  10. The other interesting thing about this is that we also have 5 out of 8 teams with 1st round talent. The other 3 are 2nd, 4th(iirc Dak), and Mr. Irrelevant. There's an argument to be made that Purdy is an anomaly and that it's mostly the coaching adapting to his style of play and giving him the opportunities to succeed in game. But that's pretty much all these QB's, it's coaching and the system that adapts to them. In other words they fit that system. They don't try to fit a square peg into a circle hole. The importance of finding the QB is high but the relevance here, that QB can be found anywhere, it's just that as of late, they are mostly found in the first round. Top 10 or higher. This means that if Johnson is our guy, expect this franchise to go for their QB. I wouldn't be mad at them either. You have 2 guys that are potentially Franchise guys in Young and Stroud. ONE of them IS that guy. Young in my honest opinion. This team has put off the franchise QB acquisition for far too long and don't you dare say that Teddy, Sam, Baker, and Corral were an actual attempt to address this position. It was not, it was just trying to see fi they could strike gold with not going all in. Fitterer said something about a Sexy draft, and I don't see anything sexier than having a Franchise QB to lead this young team.
  11. The kick in the nuts is that the PANTHERS stopped them from going to the playoffs and potentially the Panthers are going to take their OC.
  12. Why are you leaving off Trey Lance from the 49ers? He's a 1st round QB as well.
  13. Enough wanting other teams trash.
  14. I'm not sure that this is what they are meaning. I like Corral but his chances of actually playing are slim to none. I think it's more because Stroud is likely going back to school and Young is the #1 guy and they aren't moving up for Levis and AR15 is basically a project. I'm okay with them not wasting a pick on a QB and getting much needed help in other positions.
  15. Meh. Getting a win and having 7 wins feels way better than draft position. Either way it would have been a top 10 pick. It's just feels good to finally have more than 5 fuging wins. Credit to Wilks and the team for pushing through this season, not ending how they would have liked, Playoffs would have been awesome, but at least they NEVER quit.
  16. So basically the team that drafts this kid is drafting for Potential and also should be aware that he is a development project. But his ceiling is moderately high. His stats aren't the best but this video shows what teams will be looking at when seeing his tape. I'm in favor or against this kid. But what I do know is that I will probably be a little concerned but depending on the coaching staff, it will make me feel better or worse. lol
  17. DA fug you talking about he's like Delhomme? Jake at least took this team to the SB and won HUGE games. He's the complete opposite of Delhomme. Like what?!
  18. What was the offer? 2 1st rounders or something like that? So essentially one of those 1st rounders you'd have to use to REPLACE Burns and that's not a guarantee that you'll get someone equivalent to his talents or better. You're essentially working ass backwards this way. Say for arguments sake you do hit on another DE, but then that leaves the other 1st to try and hit on another position. You'd have to actually get another DE as well, because that's the problem with this D line, we don't have CONSISTANT pass rush, we need someone to book end Burns. That's why I'm okay with not trading him away. What I really wish is that we should have gotten a little more for CMC. At least another 3rd. You can use those mid round picks to either move up or supply the depth chart or hit on a starter in the 3rd. Replacing CMC is not hard, but having more capital to use for other areas would have been better.
