  1. Not the most glamorous but its probably one of the best jobs in football. If he plays competent in spot duty he’ll likely have a very good income stream for several years and stand a real good chance to walk away from an NFL career when it’s over instead of limp. There are worse fates.
  2. Yes. I personally think it can be beneficial if an owner is engaged but not overly involved. Tepper has a right to know what is going on but outside of agreeing milestone events he has no business being the decision maker for personnel decisions, coaches strategies etc... I am good with him asking questions and signing off on events when it comes to say tagging Burns or trading the farm to move up to #1 and draft a QB. But he is not knowledgeable enough to give the pointed directives to tag a specific player or trade assets to draft a specific player. There is a fine line between engaged and meddling but right now the Teppers are on the wrong side of said line.
  3. Well folks there is some honesty in that. Truth be told my proudest moment/enjoyable event related to the Teppers was attending a concert at BOA. All the football stuff has been total garbage. So at least Nicole ain't lyin'.
  4. Very underrated sport IMO. My kids started playing rugby in middle school and enjoyed playing it more than football. Great game. Don’t always get the games but enjoy watching when I can.
  5. This. I Have no clue. Just hope everything gels and the voice of reason in the room isn’t based on who has the biggest bank account. If it is the case he is destined to fail. if that isn’t the case then he has a chance to succeed.
  6. Me thinks this is the best approach. To early to tell how everything shakes out but there is a hell of a lot of foreshadowing that says it doesn’t look good.
  7. Got the shingles vaccine (2 dose) and both shots kicked my ass for a good day or two. Hell of a lot better than getting shingles but it’s the only vaccine that’s ever triggered a strong reaction. it sucks because you feel sick but in the back of your mind you know your just fake sick so you try to function like normal and still feel just as awful as you would if you were really sick. Made that mistake with the first dose. Second dose I just crawled into bed.
  8. Last Off Season I was falling on the side of just pay the man but after this season I really hope they dont open up the pocket book and give him a max contract. Last season there were times I forgot he was even playing. If a guy is worthy of a max contract fans dont forget said player is on the field.
  9. Signing him would be a head scratcher for me. It would also go a long way in deflating my optimistic outlook that this front office may actually have a strategy and a chance to succeed. Maybe this would be an overreaction but that's what fans do.
  10. So you’re saying he’d fit right in? Seriously tho. I think smart drafting is something that we have lacked since ever. I’m good with taking a chance on a guy in the later rounds but this team desperately needs to hit on a a couple picks that can contribute immediately.
  11. Tepper is watering down the piss warm beer to make an extra buck.
  12. The statement made me chuckle. Both humorous and accurate
  13. Horn actually shows up when he’s healthy. not interested.
  14. I think that so many people jumping on this comment (self definitely included) and probably making a mountain out of a mole hill is indicative of the total lack of identity they currently possess. Would have been more excited if the exchange was between TD and Evero but beggars and all... That said I really hope these guys are more involved.
  15. Ickey rookie year was perhaps up and coming dog but Im afraid he was neutered somewhere between February and September last year
  16. One admirable quality of Tepper I think most can (some begrudgingly) agree on is he desperately wants to win and will do what is necessary to accomplish it. Problem is him figuring out what those necessary things are, hence the mistakes.
  17. IDK. Some guy gives you an opportunity of a lifetime and a seven figure check may lead to that type of reaction especially in that setting. There is also a degree of eye contact and gratitude required for the sake of professionalism. History makes me dubious but not gonna pass judgement at this point.
  18. Despite all of his shortcomings (Pun not intended) Bryce seems to be a hard worker. I suspect he’s got a list of things for his off-season plan. Hope the list includes strength, footwork and long ball accuracy to name a few.
  19. Is Ickey a guard or tackle. After las season I would say kick him inside but as u say; there may have been mitigating circumstance and that could be a rush to judgement. I’m not a full studier ike some folks but I saw guys being constantly out of position and looking lost. Getting beat is one thing but being totally clueless is another.
  20. That’s all behind him. He’s graduated from buying $40 million homes and destroying them to buying and destroying 2 billion dollar NFL clubs
  21. It’s not his success in SF that makes us lose the trade. It’s the Panther’s inability to turn the capital we got from the trade into something positive that makes us lose I’m happy for CMC the person and player. Panthers are a mess right now ans I’m glad a special player is able to go somewhere and succeed. If we trade Burns or any other player to a contender I will wish him well and good health. Also hope his team performs good as long as it’s not the Cowboys or in the division or maybe another team that I choose to hate on a given day but generally speaking I like it when these young guys go elsewhere and succeed.
