  1. Horn is basically a rookie having missed most of last year. Carries himself like a seasoned vet. Cool conversation with Blank. I think Joe helped to raise a class act.
  2. Probably need to park this bandwagon and till next year
  3. I agree with this. I think it will be interesting if we see something similar to last year where teams don't reach for the QB. Not saying Young or Stroud will drop to 20 but wonder if the hesitancy persists. If so it will probably be worth taking a chance on one in late first/second.
  4. If the board fell like this and we chose Anderson I would be happy. I know there is a desperate need for a QB but I hope we don't reach. I know the metaphor is to keep swinging but you cant keep swinging at wild pitches.
  5. Panthers QB dilemma… The answer is not on the roster.
  6. I like McCall and glad he’s getting some attention and is gonna be drafted. Love a good local story. But I don’t know about him being top tier.
  7. Viewership I suspect. Anything to keep eyes watching the network. He was on the highlight reel yesterday and Carolina did trade that Christian guy so everyone needs to keep watching in case. But I do agree it is highly unlikely that he gets traded at this point.
  8. Is the them you refer to Sam and Baker? If so I would not purposely give them reps for this if PJ is proving capable. To be clear, my point was never about one specific player or position group, just players in general.
  9. I think they are still stop gaps, just not as terrible as previously believed. I'm thinking more around younger guys such as TMJ, Corral, maybe CJ and some other folks like that. Just saying some guys may be able to showcase a bit more than they were when they were under Rhule's thumb.
  10. I think I used the wrong word when I said re-evaluation. I'll use TMJ as an example. There were threads of him being a bust and not able to get on the field. Seems like now that Rhule is gone, he is getting on the field and showing promise. Just wondering what other players are in the same bucket. Not sure if it is game plan or Rhule putting his hand into everything but the landscape seems to have changed. I want to give some guys the benefit of the doubt before drawing too many conclusions based on how I felt about them when Rhule was in charge.
  11. I think all player evaluations/opinions made under Rhule's regime need to be rethought or evaluated again. Just me.
  12. I think TMJ. Don’t mean to be overly dramatic and it’s early but this appears to be an inflection point in his short career as a pro. I know the team is not very good but he seems to be getting his chances and is rising up when called upon.
  13. I think this should satisfy everyone to a certain degree. The people in the tank camp should be elated because the team lost. The camp wanting them to win at all costs should be somewhat comforted because the players and coaches are trying to win. They are just making the mistakes that teams with a 2-5 (now 6) records who fired their head coach mid season make. Game had a disappointing outcome but definitely fun to watch.
  14. PJ showed his limitations today but also showed he is capable of overcoming them from time to time. He shows up with the "want to" all the time. Shows up with the "can do" sometimes. A guy you would like to have on your team as a backup but not someone you want to depend on day in and day out.
  15. I don’t hate him. In fact I think he stands a good chance of playing better based on what we saw from PJ and the offense last week. Based on what we saw I think all bad opinions regarding players I developed under the Rhule regime could be ill conceived. That said, I would rather roll with PJ until he shows us why we can’t.
  16. One is a streak. And the Panthers are hot. Not really. Hard to pick this one because it is up to McAdoo putting together two game plans in a row. I think it’s a low scoring game but see the Falcons winning 17-13. Hope I’m wrong.
  17. The win or tank is not up to me. I have no doubt the players and coaches are giving everything to win. I understand the argument of tanking to get a good prospect but is the football season about 17 Sunday's in the fall or 1 Thursday night in April?
  18. I think we have tried this before. With Teddy, with Sam, With Cam, with Baker.
  19. Exactly. He strikes me as quiet and clever. Saw the writing on the wall and figured the only way to get out was to go through the mess. Didn't sabotage Rhule, as Rhule was doing a good job of that by himself. Just let Rhule carry out the plan ("process") knowing it would fail and he would be rid of Rhule. When its apparent that an idiot is in charge sometimes the only alternative you have is to wait it out and let them fail.
  20. The article makes Fitt look weak or at least deferential to Rhule. Have no idea about the power structure but it sounds like it was Rhule then everybody else. Wonder if Fitt saw this fustercluck when he came in and then simply kept providing Rhule more rope to hang himself. He caught a few dings along the way with the Darnold option but he had to know Rhule was going to implode. Just my personal conspiracy theory though.
  21. The devil is in the details and if you can get more it would be worth considering but if its a conditional 7th its a hard pass.
  22. My beloved and beleaguered Wolfpack QBS aren’t all that successful on Saturdays or Sundays but they make the bank come payday!
