I think it is a long shot at best. One possible scenario would be we still have a sub .500 record but the kid plays with his hair on fire, wins OROY and creates a lot of excitement. Might keep Rhule because all things look positive, previous issues more or less corrected, you definitely have momentum and can see the window opening. But this is a long-shot in my opinion.

I admire OPs stance and can see the point to a degree. Rhule’s gonna keep on getting paid and either get smarter or keep on making mistakes. But he ain’t firing himself.

I think any hope of getting a spark out of Sam was dashed last season. We brought him I. Thinking a change of scenery would ignite said spark. I think there were two problems with that. 1. We didn’t help Sam at all and gave him the Same crappy team he had in NY 2. Sam is likely too far gone to recover any form of starting qb if there was anything there to begin with.

Well said. He potentially fills a void so the signing makes sense. Unfortunately, it disappoints this board as a whole when not every signing is going to be a super versatile all-world player.

I hate Tom Brady. But Tom takes care of himself, has avoided injury (some luck I’m sure) and is a very smart quarterback/football player. I think all of those things and having decent teammates has helped Tom Brady keep Father Time at bay. I don’t like him but damn it’s nice to see an old guy be relevant in his mid 40s.

Sign another OL upgrade and get a LB while there. Wait for the draft and see how the board plays out. I think we still gotta address OL there. who knows regarding QB. I would rather get Minshew or Brissette type qb than drafting one in the first. I think this fits with the Tep mentality. This is it from a succinct point of view and no ambiguity. I would pie twice if I could. I’m assuming Tep is all in on Watson so I think addressing OL in FA is a huge-er priority now. Sad thing is it won’t take much to improve.

I think the best thing you are telling Watson is that we are retiring the turnstiles. Problem is we don’t have a way to readily address the issues plaguing us on the line. Fitty needs to earn his money and figure out a way. Granted that I think anything would be an improvement.
