  1. I said it in the game thread. The defense was sacrificed this year to go strong on offense. We don't have the talent on defense to be a legitimate contender.
  2. Seriously, that was a criticism of DJ from Pittsburgh fans. We're just gonna have to live with it.
  3. We need an EDGE in the worst kinda way too, but, again, fans knew the deal a month ago.
  4. Oh yeah, I made peace with it, and any serious fan should have known what was going on as well. It wasn't exactly a secret. Hell, we jettisoned half the defensive backfield essentially right before the regular season
  5. I mean, we did sacrifice the defense to get offense, so no one should be surprised. You can't actually fix everything in one offseason.
  6. I know, right. It was such a an obvious pull-the-damned-trigger-moment. It was one of the defining moments of Fitterer's career as a GM.
  7. My go-to hat. I either wear this one or my Bulldog black on black cap. Sometimes I wear one in the morning, and one in the afternoon. Like today. I wore the cap and my raincoat this afternoon.
  8. Danny Dimes throwing Chuck E. Cheese tokens out there. Geesh! If he could hit his receivers in stride, he'd be deadly. I don't know how he got the nickname.
  9. Smitty was higher on Mingo, and worked with Mingo during the off-season. It's his time to piss excellence or get off the pot.
  10. Yeah, we know. You post about them what seems like every five posts.
  11. In Athens, Georgia, there was a club called O'Malley's back in the 80s. They used to have Nickel Night for house draft and liquor. You talking about a bunch of drunk college-aged students. The police used to just wait down the road and see what fools were going to catch a DUI.
  12. Yeah, I got that, but how did he play is what I'm trying to determine. I was so high on the offense that I didnt pat attention to the D-line, except to notice that they weren't getting as much pressure as I'd like. I was thinking to myself that it was a good thing that we were playing Minshew who wanted to hold on to the ball too long.
  13. I know Clowney got some pressures and a late sack. Does anyone know what PFF grades that Harris and Clowney got against the Raiders?
  14. That's the dirty secret: drafting a franchise QB is more luck than skill. Tepper wanted to be first instead of second. Now we're the ones with the dud.
  15. Why isn't he playing? We're going to have to get maximum pressure on Burrow to be most effective. Our corners held against Adams and Meyers, but Chase and Higgins are a different animal.
  16. I'm concerned that he's not going to last. He needs to stop taking hits (at least the big ones). He thinks he's Cam out there.
  17. Regardless what Dalton does, it will look substantially better than anything Bryce puts out. If I have to look at Bryce play for the Panthers again...
  18. I wouldn't give up on Caleb Williams so easily. Sure, Jayden looks better after three games, but he's still a relatively slight guy, and doesn't necessarily have the off-script skill set that Williams displayed. I like Jayden a lot, though. Chicago always picks the "wrong" pick because the FO just ain't right (if you get what I'm saying).
  19. Didn't know Raym played center. That's good to know.
  20. I will say that it's easy to criticize when a team is coming off two horrible losses after a horrible season, but, to state the obvious, consistent piss-poor QB play brings the entire organization down. And, Bryce's piss-poor QB play was not just any ol' piss-poor QB play, it was historic piss-poor QB play. That being said, I think that Tepper is learning some much-needed lessons. He may not be changing as quickly as we'd like, and sometimes change is hardly even discernible, but he's changing.
