  1. Definitely happy for Morgan. It’d be great if it works out.
  2. I’m fine being optimistic because it’s hard to see the point in letting sports entertainment make you too miserable. It’s just internal vs external. How can we justify keeping anyone from the front office that was building the team? Just feels like we picked someone with no potential.
  3. Hiring internally is what has the Huddle all uppity. External hire you could at least have hope and looking forward to FA, the draft, and contracts with a little bit of “new guy” optimism. Internal hire scares me a lot. Nothing has worked so far and we hired the person most adjacent to all of it. Just feels like a conventionally bad idea that you can’t defend if it doesn’t work out.
  4. I mean that was the season for optimistic pressers. Do any other orgs speak that differently?
  5. We to just just calm down and stink for a bit. Build up a culture.
  6. That’s a great angle to frame it honestly, hope it works out!
  7. I don’t like to be overly negative I guess people are just not excited. An internal hire has Teppers poop finger prints all over it. Doesn’t feel like he’s learned anything going internally.
  8. Hiring internally when it’s been 6 years of crap is shocking.
  9. Didn’t he look good year 1? And he’s mostly been good even in the slumps?
  10. I think there is something to be said about getting ahead of cap issues etc. but yeah it’s probably a little silly.
  11. I always thought Kap would have gone deep to the playoffs more often, I’m surprised he seemed to get figured out. Or maybe it was injuries. I know he got blacklisted too but I kept thinking he was going to win one pretty quickly
  12. Yeah I’d be happy to watch us go 6-10 while Cam tries to spam his way to the all time rush TD record lol. Prob wouldn’t get there but it would be fun. I sort of wished we just played Armanti Edward’s in 2010, even if it sucked he would have been fun
  13. I would think he’s likely gone. If the coach thinks he can build around Young we are sunk. Maybe they’ll say it just to be PC and get their guy the next year. This team still needs to be torn down. So tired of taking these desperate shots. I’d be much happier to let a coach get settled then take a shot.
  14. I’m surprised at the ire expressed at Burns here. He needs to look out for himself and make as much as he can. It doesn’t matter if he earned it or not, he is worth what teams are willing to pay. He’s 100% right that there is no way he’s the #1 priority when we don’t have a coach or a GM yet. We bungled the deal entirely by not extending him sooner or trading him.
  15. The folks in the first two rows should wear ponchos lol
  16. Draft nothing but offensive lineman at any/every position. Sign a WR in FA. Trade burns for picks.
  17. It must feel good getting out of the cold rain into some dry comfortable clothes too
  18. I definitely agree about his passes in good weather too it’s just hard to compare. I don’t understand how his arm has looked this weak this year compared to college. I can’t see how the velocity you can put on the ball could change this much. It’s hard to feel optimistic about him long term if his shoulder is this weak as a young man coming from a college with NFL caliber(maybe better) training staff.
  19. Yeah maybe it was the wind/rain but those passes looked awful. The only one that looked anything like a deliberate NFL caliber throw was the amazing catch by Chark
  20. I hate to say it but I’d love this as a painting or something but modified with a blue jersey for better contrast lol
  21. He doesn’t have any physical bonafides that stand out so I don’t see why anyone would want to trade for him.
  22. I like to keep my fandom light hearted and optimistic but yeah it’s likely he stinks.
  23. 2024 is already a wash and if we are lucky 2025 can be like our 2011 or 2002
  24. That hit really looked brutal, I think it’s just the way the guy hung onto him and was an anchor point that kinda whipped him into the ground
  25. I definitely don’t mean to be cynical but betting on someone to have a Peyton Manning brain to overcome their physical limitations was a terrible idea. Bad teams simply don’t make good quarterbacks look THIS bad. He just seems like everything is a little too much for him at this level.
