  1. Rhule doesn't need to have control over jack. He should never have been given control of the team.
  2. i'm expecting nothing of any importance to be said.
  3. they owe us for taking advantage of a n00b HC and selling us Darnold/taking him off their hands. as for Neal @ 10? sure why not? I mean it's highly unlikely he'd still be there but what a bargain if he is.
  4. Still don't think it's a huge concern because it's just a few with concerns. I would like to know what it's based on, but I still would love to have him anchor the OL for a long time. Serious stud potential here.
  5. Oh good grief kids, settle down. I'm locking this thread and I'm going to be sending out warnings to everyone involved in this poo, just in case one of you kids think you're getting singled out. If it pours over at all into any other threads and derail it into anymore of this pissing contest I'll give y'all the rest of the week off and I know you don't want that with the draft going on. Got it?
  6. you know who says stuff like this? people trying to deny that they aren't aligned.
  7. i'm just hoping i don't end up tossing up my supper. you're right, though. this whole draft...i don't think anyone really has a clue what's going to happen.
  8. they dug themselves into a hole that forced that to happen.
  9. probably right about the chatter. with it only being a couple of teams, there's probably something fishy going on.
  10. not a big deal. a handful of teams might have a problem, but by far most don't.
  11. i've kind of prepared myself. i've got low expectations for the draft and the season overall so i'm not going to get worked up.... not too much anyways.
  12. I'll watch it, but I'm probably the least invested I've been in many years. I'll just say I'm not excited about it. More curious than anything and not a good curious.
  13. Huge need + top tier talent = Huge need + mediocre talent =
  14. I quit trying. his head is stuck. he wants a QB this year and it doesn't matter if it pans out or not because we can try again next year. He thinks that good LTs are easy to find and not much of a priority...no reason to try and secure a long term solution there. better to take a gamble on a QB with limited potential than an LT with poo tons. anything you say to the contrary, apparently, is an insult to his intelligence. you can't reason with that.
  15. franchise QBs can be stumbled upon anywhere in the first round. the idea that the only place you can find them is in the first half dozen picks is a myth and believing it, to use a word that has been used a lot in this thread, is delusional. it's not like you're drafting a more certain thing like LT.
  16. the hard pill to swallow is that we'd be better off drafting a stud OT who will anchor the line for a decade or more this year than a JAG QB this year, esp. at #6, who will likely be replaced by a new coach when Rhule eventually gets fired. it's just better value, esp. long term. the desire/desperation for getting a QB is pushing the value above where it should be. it's highly unlikely that this year contains within it a franchise QB that we will be building around for the next decade, but it is highly likely that this draft contains within it an LT that will anchor our line for a decade.
  17. do they genuinely like them or is their like motivated by desperation? also, do we want to invest in a QB with a low chance of success and a low ceiling rather than wait till next year and take advantage of the rare wealth of OL talent available this year to fill a gaping hole that's been an issue for a decade?
  18. I don't want it, but that's the bed they made. They need to be forced to lay in it. These were the geniuses that didn't just waste multiple picks on him, but also picked up his fifth year option. Deal with it. Get it over with.
