I thought this would be cool since it seems we're looking hard at these guys and doing our due diligence with both.

Both are athletic as hell with bball backgrounds and are definite starter material IMO.

They are ideal on paper...both over 6'1 with good speed and stat sheets to back it up not to mention helped themselves greatly this offseason.

Now I may be in a minority being cool with either in the 1st but thought I'd at least see who y'all like more for us.

Yea I'd take Adams in a heartbeat. I'd be happy with Adams in the second. I guess I'd be ok with Latimer in the fourth.

Latime was invited to the draft, and current buzz is he might go late first round or will be gone by early second

We're typically close to the same page come football talk but that is pretty off imo.  I'd be willing to bet Latimer is a top-50 pick.  Adams top-60.

The margin between the projected late 20s and 80s is not that far this year which makes it pretty hard to figure out.

Yea, I know there's been a Latimer hype machine brewing the past week or so.  I still don't think he's a top 3 rounds draft pick.  There's at least 12 or so WRs I'd rather have than him.  I don't get where this hype came from all of a sudden.  Was there some mysterious game film that popped up that scouts started seeing that wasn't around during or after the college football season?  I'm ALWAYS wary of these late draft season hype buildups.  If he wasn't as highly thought of as the other guys shortly after the season, barring something completely out of the ordinary he shouldn't be shooting up the big boards all of a sudden for no apparent reason.

Same thing happens every year.  And almost every year these cases prove fruitless.

    • T-Mac is a nickname, Tet is a shortening of Tetairoa. Like you said below... your name is Jonathan, I could see "Jonny" being considered a nickname, but Jon isn't a nickname, it's a shortening of Johnathan, see the difference? And if your mom named you Jonathan for it's biblical significance/meaning, because she was very religious, I think it would be different. T-Mac is Polynesian, so much in their culture has deeper meaning for them, particularly names.  So for his mom to feel this way, I highly doubt it's just because she likes the name Tetairoa and not Tet, it's much more likely than not to be because the name itself has a deeper meaning in their culture.   Particularly as T-Mac himself has often talked about how much his Polynesian heritage means to himself and his family. And no, I'm not saying all this because of how much he's my guy, if he was just "normal american" and his name was Jonathan and he didn't like fans calling him Jon, I'd probably just say tough poo.  It's that he's Polynesian and I know things like names have a much deeper meaning in their culture than they do in ours for the most part. For whatever it's worth, a quick google search.......
