Ryan has 3....not one...not two..but 3 1000 yard receivers at his disposal. I know, its been a while since Carolina has seen some shyt like that.

They don't help much when Ryan is running for his life......just saying

Ask Peyton manning how that helped him win the Super Bowl. Plus how are your receivers going to get the ball if he is constantly disrupted?

A good offense looks nice but defense wins championships.

Im not a dumbass. Carolina has the best defense in the division. Bar none. Im trying to create a rivay here. True hate is us and the Saints. Im trying to get you guys in the mix here. Do you reallh want Tampa to be your rival?

You are without a doubt not very football smart.

No, the rest of you guys are without a doubt trying way too hard to pretend like everything that Gettleman does is low-key genius.

I bet you're one of the guys who was totally content with what Gettleman had done in free agency this season, saying that we had a great free agency.

What about being angry with this pick makes me "not very football smart"??? Is Ealy gonna help? Sure, he'll come in for maybe a couple plays per defensive series and hopefully play well. But you know what would probably help more? Replacing the true DT or any of the other scrubs that are starting on our offensive line right now. Ryan Kalil is the only real NFL starter on that line as of now, whilst we already have two of the elite NFL DE's.

Don't pretend like this was a good choice, because it just simply isn't.

    • Yes, he's a tier above them, but you also touched on the money side of it.  With T-Mac locked in as our #1 on a rookie contract for a few more years, I'd much rather use that money that would be needed for DJ on our defense and develop Coker into our #2.   Especially given his contract situation as an UDFA, as his contract is up at the end of this year but we can keep him around for a 3rd team controlled year on the real cheap.  Which means we probably could get him to sign a very reasonable extension this offseason to give him a little more money while giving us a bargain contract for what he provides. DJ's contract is north of $20 million for the next 5 years, why pay that for your #2 WR with the needs we have on defense and you have guys like Coker, XL, and Horn on rookie contracts who very well could combine to be a serviceable 2-4 WRs behind a stud in T-mac? I love DJ and he'd be a great fit on this team as our #2, but the money side of it just makes absolutely zero sense, that's all it comes down to for me on this one. And no, I don't see the Bears wanting XL back in that trade, because they drafted Burden, who is essentially a better version of what XL provides, a player you want to get the ball into their hands and let them go to work.
    • I didnt see that many bad calls in the panthers cowboys game, but the chiefs especially in the playoffs were getting every single call they could get then the refs when it didnt matter would throw a call towards the other teams.  That I believe was the taylor swift effect.   But its crazy just thinking about how easy it is to change a game.  You dont need but a single ref to make a few close calls go towards one team over the other and in the nfl that is the game.
    • I don't think it's unrealistically blaming Bryce Young......to say has been a reason, sometimes a big one, in why our pass offense overall has been extremely week over the past 3 collective seasons.  I think that bothering anyone, is just being overly invested in some Bryce Young argument.  It's just a reality.
