We didn't do Cam any favors, and if this is it we're gonna have some problems

I must be In the 2%, because this tackle class was horrible and basically 4 deep. I didn't expect the team to take a tackle at all and think it was an excellent draft with great value selections.

Oh, I get it. Moses and Bitonio are trash now that the draft has ended.

I've been saying that Moses was trash for the last few weeks. Lol, bitonio would have made a good late second to third round pick but he was reached on. Same with James going early in the first as well. Moses was a third round prospect taken in the second because of how shallow the tackle talent was. In a normal tackle talent draft, he's probably a 4th round pick.

All big reaches draft wise, none will be day one LT starters. Since the team likes Chandler, no point in taking them at that big of a reach.

Since you mentioned it though, Moses is hot garbage and had no business going in the second.

I realize that it is still early, and that a lot can change between now and September, that's why I used words like "if" and "now" and "hope". I can't say that G-man is wrong , just like no one can truthfully say that he is right about this draft. Things will have to play themselves out. I am just expressing some feelings about the draft and the state of the team post-draft. I doubt we will go into the season with what we have now, but it's still a possibility, and that makes me somewhat nervous. But, at the end of the day I am still behind the FO (G-man and all). Like I already said, I hope it turns out well.

You are entitled to your opinion, but plenty of the professionals believe differently.

with this deep(quality) wr class you should have more than one...no excuse.

OT is debatable and we will see how that plays out as the season goes along. but seeing how you have close to NOTHING at LT, you should have at least got one.

fleming, moses turner hurst and Richardson all fell. you didn't have to reach. smh........

The same logic can be applied to you. How do you no that none of the OTs passed the first round wont be starters or eventually become starters? You don't.

When we pass on 'em and nobody else takes an OT until 26 picks later, I think that's a consensus. There was a consensus before the draft that after the top 4 OT's, the rest were a reach as far as winding up with a decent starter. When there's a consensus, it's smart to go with it. Simple as that. Obviously nobody knows for sure how a player will turn out, but you go with the odds. There's no benefit to bucking them, long term.

Here are comments from CBS Sports on the 3 OT's taken in round 2, after the top 4 went in the 1st 19 picks.

44 - regressed in a big way last season.

59 - I imagine he is being moved to guard, but this is still a little high.

64- This is a little high for him

If you wanted one of these guys in round 1 or 2, I'm glad you're not the GM.

Everyone bitching about the bpa and not getting a left tackle really needa reevaluate their perspective, clearly gettlemen felt that there was no LT in the second round that wasnt a reach and clearly he felt there wasnt any available better than the o linemen we already have which is respectable considering were talking about ROOKIE SECOND ROUNDERS, Ealy was clearly not a reach and has endless potential consideing hes coming into the best D-Line core in the league which will take full advantage of his potential. Kelvin benjamin was clearly the wide reciever with the highest potential available his potential is equivalent to sammys and mike evans' (after all were looking for a #1) not only does he help the run game far more then beckham or cooks could ever do plus he isnt limited to being a slot reciever. We can confidently project that KB will get more than 4 TD's (surpassing our previous "#1") our 3rd round pick was a steal and was definitely a position of need trai greatly improves our back bone of our offense (run game) which in turn improves our pass game, its hard for me to believe that gettlemen hasnt thoroughly reviewed our tackle situation and has plans to improve it through FA considering we have 4 months left and godfrey restructured freeing up 4 mill, our secondary didnt lose much from last year and we have dbacks with unproven potential considering theyve never had the luxury of playing with the best d-line in the league. Our running backs are better and our oline is healthier, gross was good but i respectfully believe he was past his prime and wont be too missed

Remember more than anything it wasnt the talent that damaged our o line it was our health, gien thy werent all pro to begin with but 4 injuries at the same position will hurt any o line. I think our coaching staff has confidence in our now healthy o line and the passing up on reaching for a tackle should be a sign of confidence and non-desperation instead of arrogance and/or naiveness
