Doesn't that have meat in it?

Sent from my iPhone using CarolinaHuddle

traditional shepherds pie, is a meal. Not realy a pie.

Lamb meat on the bottom layer

Mashed ppotatoes next.

Then a vegetable or some kind. Generally corn or peas.

Covered with a layer of cheese.

Most americans will substitute beef for the lamb.

Substituting beef is a cottage pie. Shepherds herd sheep, that's why its called a shepherds pie. Lamb = sheep.

I like to use peas, corn and diced carrots in mine. Great on a rainy day. I have to admit, I've never used cheese tho. Might try that next time. what type of cheese do you use? Cheddar?

Steak and kidney pie, Cornish pasties are all great meat pies too. But the one that's truly heaven for me is a Pork Pie with a side of ploughmans pickle, Add a quartered fresh tomato covered in salt and pepper and its the perfect summertime lunch to pair with your favorite beer. They even make some with a boiled egg in the middle if you want to take it to another level.

My mom also traditionally make a turkey and ham pie made with the leftovers from Christmas, Its absolutely fantastic and a shame she only makes it once a year. I could eat that thing twice a week.

KFC's chicken pot pie isn't half bad either, its kinda like the McRibb for me.

    • Some people will shift the goal posts but he does still have to consistently help the team win, eventually. Not only help but be the reason. That's what franchise QB's do.
    • One of the Carolina Panthers' newest defenders thinks their pass rush can go from worst to first. ESPN's David Newton recently chatted with outside linebacker Pat Jones II, who signed with the Panthers as a free agent earlier this offseason. Jones comes over from an awfully impressive Minnesota Vikings defense—one that ranked first in takeaways (33), fourth in sacks (49) and second in QB pressure rate (44.4 percent) this past season. And despite a historically-bad campaign by Carolina's defense in 2024, the 26-year-old seems to believe his new unit can be similar—or even better—than his last. "I definitely think we could do something similar, if not better," Jones said, via Newton. "I've seen it before, so I know what it looks like. I look around the building and see we have exactly what it takes to do that." https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/24/panthers-pat-jones-vikings-espn/83840667007/?taid=683219b347846900018fa10a&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter     It's the offseason.  Let hope spring eternal. (actually, I think we are much closer than this board thinks)
    • 5 total TDs against the Falcons was pretty good efficiency and he showed that ability to go off scripts and get 2 of those TDs rushing.  How many times did he deliver big time throws against pressure.  I agree we need to see this offense operate at high efficiency which starts with Bryce. When he does I hope the goals posts won’t shift to some other stat like QB sneaks lol
