Chad Ford is a tool. This guy uses his reputation to stir up fan bases to pressure front offices to choose the player he told them they should want, improving his odds of "being right."

 

All 2012 he was beating the drum about how the Bobcats should pick MKG, stirring the pot, so of course the buzz was all about MKG, with fans making up their minds that they wanted MKG, and since Charlotte was all about MKG, there you have it. He was high on the Bobcats' list, he'd just won the title (because Kendall Marshall was injured), and since Charlotte wanted MKG, it was an easy decision for the Hornets despite his offensive limitations. 

 

Anyone who doesn't think the media understands the power it has to shape public perception, and as a result, decision-making and outcomes, doesn't understand much.
