mock and rumors has me wailing and gnashing my teeth

Chad Ford is a tool. This guy uses his reputation to stir up fan bases to pressure front offices to choose the player he told them they should want, improving his odds of "being right."

All 2012 he was beating the drum about how the Bobcats should pick MKG, stirring the pot, so of course the buzz was all about MKG, with fans making up their minds that they wanted MKG, and since Charlotte was all about MKG, there you have it. He was high on the Bobcats' list, he'd just won the title (because Kendall Marshall was injured), and since Charlotte wanted MKG, it was an easy decision for the Hornets despite his offensive limitations.

Anyone who doesn't think the media understands the power it has to shape public perception, and as a result, decision-making and outcomes, doesn't understand much

Didn't Kentucky beat a Kendall Marshall lead UnC team early that year?

At Rupp, and barely, on a last second blocked shot. On a neutral court, odds are a more experienced UNC team, that was on a mission, would've steamrolled them.

Against a team full of Freshman who by the end of the year was a much better team.

    • My take on Darnold was always that he was fine with a good offensive line but would wilt under pressure with a poor line (Jets and Panthers). Seattle began the year w/ a pretty bad oline and they improved somewhat but Darnold is showing he is a pretty good qb. Imagine what the Panthers would be today with Darnold and without Bryce Young and all the wasted draft picks to get him.
    • Similar situation but that would be a better version than what we currently have. Sam isn't a franchise QB but he is a good bridge guy. Either Seatle finds a young guy to groom or they have hit their ceiling. They 100% can't put it on Sam's shoulders and expect to win but the team needs to carry less with him at QB to win vs what this team has to do with Bryce.
    • to me the post would suggest Sam Darnold was good last night because Seattle won in a wild game.   Which is what we do with Bryce Young.   Sam Darnold didn't play well last night.  Which is how he trends, goes to a new team.....looks okay and becomes classic Sam Darnold down the stretch.  Last 6 or 7 weeks old bad Sam is coming out a lot (and then a weird Atlanta game mixed in lol).
