In no particular order....

1.  Washington DC -  history abounds

2.  NYC -  financial and entertainment mecca, Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty, 9/11 memorials

3.  Flagstaff, AZ - near Grand Canyon, Painted Desert/Petrified Forest, and within a daytrip of Vegas

4.  Charleston, SC - historic, ocean

5.  Asheville, NC  - 'electic', both Great Smoky Mtn. NP and Blue Ridge Parkway nearby

LOL Philly, if you want to get hounded for a dolla every 15 feet that's the best place to visit. Bum city.

The sammich's aren't worth the hassle.

Me and the Mrs. took a day trip there, and you are right on the money.  Saw the Liberty Bell, took the Independence Hall tour and stood in the room where the Declaration of Independence was written, had a sammich and got the fug out of there.

New York

Washington DC

Asheville->Charleston

New Orleans

San Francisco

Sometimes you have to see the less traveled areas of the world. Although staples for people from the Carolinas, not many world travelers would even consider going to Asheville or Charleston, and they are two of my favorite places on Earth.

If you want all big cities, take out Asheville>Charleston add Chicago.

I have lived in quite a few cities, including Chicago, Pittsburgh & Atlanta. I have visited Denver & Las Vegas. They all have something different to offer.

I also lived in Philadelphia, Detroit, Cleveland, Greensboro, and Raleigh. Nothing special to visit (unless you want to see the (Liberty Bell, Valley Forge, etc. In the Philly area).

My wife was born and raised in Asheville. The mountains and the artsy atmosphere (that wasn't there years ago) are kinda neat, but it's not for everyone.

MM, how long will you plan to spend here, and would you prefer to drive and see countryside and small towns or just fly between the major highlights? it makes an enormous difference either way as far as what would make sense to recommend.

if you've only got time for a few stops, i'd recommend san fran (you can get west coast culture without dealing with shitty los angeles or nonstop rain in seattle) and denver (colorado's front range is like nowhere else in the world) west of the mississippi and in the east washington DC and either NYC or miami if you want some stereotypical american cities (though you'll get bored quick i think) east of the mississippi. if you're all citied-out on the east coast, by all means fly to charlotte and spend some time there. it's sizable enough that you can find stuff to do, you might be able to time it with a panthers game, and you're a quick drive into rural american countryside from there if you don't have time to rent a car anywhere else.

good luck, we have our share of problems in the u.s. but we are damn fun to explore.

Thank you man, I think stay there for like 20 days is ok for me. I'd like to take a deep look for each city I visit, so I guess I should cut my list to 3.

Your quite right, actually I prefer small cities more than big cities.

And sorry I won't visit New Orleans just for one reason~

    • The era that you played in, and, more importantly, who you played with actually matters. Honestly, that's why these issues will be debated forever, as it's just difficult to say that this person or that person is better when you're discussing the passage of time. As for me, after Rice, Moss and maybe Megatron and T.O., there's probably a dozen or so guys that can be argued about to the cows come home. Personally, I'm not putting Fitz, Harrison, Johnson, Evans, or especially D-Hop, Jefferson, Chase or Hill definitely in front of Smitty (and Colston ain't even in the discussion). Context and all that stuff actually matters. Things like the triple crown matter.
    • Some of those guys? Yeah honestly you can.  I would 100% take Steve Smith over Larry Fitzgerald, Harrison, even Mike Evans. He is 100% a better player than those guys in his prime. If you look at the numbers Smith is historically under targeted in comparison to his contemporaries. He was only targeted 150 times or more only once in his career. Fitzgerald for example was targeted well above that 9 different seasons. Had Smith played with Peyton, Brady, Greatest Show on Turf, or even with Warner in Arizona he would broken records. His 2008 season was ridiculous accumulating 1400 yards in 13 games on less than 80 receptions. All time he also lost a season due to injury in 04, barely played WR as a rookie. Got robbed of 1k season with Clausen. Thats easily another 1800yds minimum that should have been tacked on to his #s. The only guys I’d say for certain are better than Smith are Rice, Moss, TO, Megatron, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown.
    • I parked in this lot a few times. It would take over and hour to get out of that lot after games. Never again
