Cavs Now Offering Wiggins In Deal For Love

Recommended Posts

James is on one year contract, two if he is in a good mood. Cavs in a win now mode, don't have time to hope Wiggins becomes good.

Don't read into that. LeBron won't play anywhere but Cleveland for the rest of his life. The deal was just so he could get more money when the league negotiates the TV contracts and under the new CBA.

I disagree with this. I know the letter was nice and all but in Lebron's case I see a guy who saw his Miami team wash up and saw a team with 3 of the last 4 #1 overall picks he could sign with. Now they're trying to build another super team in Cleveland. If they don't compete for a championship in the next 2 years I think Lebron finds a couple more superstars to sign with somewhere else.

Lol, LeBron is not leaving Cleveland again, he will retire with the Cavs. He wants to be there, his wife wants to be there, and they want their kids in school in Akron. His short deal is to make more money under the next CBA. He could have signed the two year deal to stay in Miami and chase rings before moving back to Cleveland. He was ready to return, he has, all is forgotten, and the city is once again his.

Wanted to add, while he was the villain by moving to Miami, his decision to go back to Cleveland was a popular decision. He has won rings now, and will not tarnish his name with another move. Nothing could help his career achievements more than if he wins a ring in Cleveland.

Not only from an on-court perspective, but Wiggins will still be on his rookie salary for a few more years, which would allow Cleveland to put even more pieces in place.  Love will demand a lot of money after this year when he renews his contract.  I think you have a much better chance for long-term success by keeping Wiggins and those other young pieces.  This kinda smells like desperation.

Pretty much what I have been telling my Cleveland friend all week

unlike in miami, i cant see the chemistry within the cavs working - kyrie doesn't try on defence, dion waiters is a timebomb waiting to go off in the locker room. i cant see lebron being happy six months down the line when his stats are being affected by the selfish play of kyrie, dion and throw in love as well.

i think it is more plausible that in 6 months they have the best record in the east than it is to think they are all gonna fall apart.  waiters is as expendable as they come now.  he will either fall in line or be moved.

    • I think in all honestly, the final 2 games are carrying most of the weight in a lot of Bryce talk IMO.    During the window where he "blew it out of the water" window......were a lot of games where he was not above average.  AZ is largely one of those stat sheet games.   Where the stat sheet reflects QB play that didn't exist in the game.  That game was all Chuba.  Meh vs Dallas.  Meh vs Philly.  Meh vs Giants.  Probably average vs Tampa, Den, Saints.  Bryce made HUGE strides vs what he was.  We should be happy.   But when you start comparing him to the rest of the league.....people I think are going too far.  His best aspect in reality.....is his scrambling.  And that's probably not a great thing give his size.
    • Mays and Zavala looked lost in the Reich offense.  Granted Zalava was probably playing too soon due to injuries but he looked terrible.  This new staff seems to be doing well with our OL.  I also wonder if having two vets in Hunt and Lewis just made life that much easier on whoever was/is playing center.
    • What the Panthers should target in order (via free agency or via trade): 1. Julian Blackmon  2. Mike Hilton 3. Jaire Alexander 4. Jalen Ramsey
