Give this kid an off season of strength training and a few pounds plus learning from our two top flight DE's, and he will show out.D G. Has found another gem with this one.People moaned when the pick came in,but just watch him develop.Kudos to D.G and R.R for having the foresight to grab this guy.

Hes already great at shedding blocks form 2/3s, I wanted moses, but knew no way dave would let ealy continue his fall. If he pans out it will double what hernay did in nine years form the second round. Plus with the HUGE questions at DE come next year at least ealy will help the super tough choices.

Not sure how people hated the pick or is calling him a "project".

Ealy had some inconsistency at Mizzou which led to his fall, but the kid was a 1st round talent. Not trying to negate anything from Michael Sam, but Ealy was a big reason why Sam put up the numbers he did last year at Mizzou. Teams were doubling Ealy.

For a lot of teams, Ealy would be a day 1 starter. He's no way near being a raw player. Only problem right now is getting used to the speed of the game.

There is absolutely zero reason to be discouraged for Ealy after 2 preseason games.  This is a long term investment, and he is like the 4th or 5th option in the rotation right now.  He will be a player no doubt.

Hes going to take over for CJ or Hardy next year.  He better be a player.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
