I wish I could get worked up enough to argue with a pre-season troll, but I just don't care. Real game that actually matters. Ok. Pre-season. Who cares?

I think we're paying Smith something like $8,000,000 to play for the Ravens. That's really stupid.

What we saw tonight wasn't what we're going to do in the regular season. Not even close. Week 1, and for the rest of the season, we will run the read option a lot. What we ran tonight was our vanilla protect Cam offense. It didn't work, and we're doing that in the regular season.

I wish there was a way to hold doubters accountable. I'm talking media, our own fans, & asshole trolls like the terd that popped his out prematurely & will have to cleaned out of the draws once the patriots fail to meet expectations. Again. (the dynasty's done dude. Been done.) This....is....the....preseason!

It's crazy we're paying Steve more not to be here right now.

I see this statement on here a lot and it is so misleading. Cutting Smith like we did saved us a considerable amount of cap space.

I am sure some of the people on here that are upset we didn't sign a big name tackle are some of the same ones who were upset we didn't keep Steve. People should really take the time to understand how the salary cap works and take a look at ours.

You're the Panthers, you're supposed to stink, thats what you do.

One season of one and done playoff football doesn't make you anything to us.

Let me guess, you are their smartest fan and you are a kind of ambassador for your team.

it is so easy to be a "fan" of something.. In fact, fug the panthers, I'm a patriots fan. Simple.

Jk I'd rather blow my head off. I have more pride in being devout fan for a team I inherited than I would picking a good team to make me feel better about myself, to have SOMETHING to rub in soome else's face, something I'd have aboslutly no responsibility for.

Patriots fan, I hope the patriots bring a little pride into your life. Enjoy your time the huddle, hope you start to feel better about yourself.

jk, hope your mom stops paying the internet bill. People that go on other teams message boards to talk poo about a preseason game are simultaneously yelling at their mom for some meatloaf

What are we paying SS now compared to what we would have paid him if he was here?

All that really matters is his cap hit.

If this article is correct http://charlotte.cbslocal.com/2014/02/27/panthers-could-save-up-to-4-million-by-cutting-smith/ , we saved about 2 million this year.

In 2015 it would be a cap savings of 6m and in 2016 12m.

To understand this move even more people should look at how much we have committed already for 2015 with these savings.
