Staind live is amazing when Aaron was younger and more pissed off.

people like to poo on staind

but i saw them when dysfunction came out and aaron lewis had one of the most powerful voices i've ever heard even though it was unbelievably depressing. it literally took your breath away. he was electric.

Man woulda loved to see Weezer live. How were they?

Never been to Weenie Roast. Haven't liked a lot of bands that played it in past.

Charlotte needs to bring back Cityfest.

it was something of a mecca pilgrimage for me to see weezer live, so i wasn't going to be picky, and i was drunk, so yeah they were awesome. shorter set, all singles, the usual suspects (though they played dope nose, which surprised me… that's about as deep track as you're gonna get with as many singles as they've garnered in two decades.)

nothing from pinkerton. that was absolutely disappointing and my only real complaint, other than the fact that the music wasn't completely deafening because i was on the lawn.

Spent my weekend at Hopscotch festival in Raliegh. Thats where the good music was

who played?

i didn't give a flying poo about any of the weenie roast bands besides weezer. i'd have gone to the weezer show in raleigh, but that was scheduled at 10pm tonight, and my day was already booked for obvious reasons.

I haven't been to a Weenie Roast since I was 17 or 18. So 15-16 years ago, Jesus I'm old. I think it was Atheneaum, Creed, Better than Ezra, and maybe Tonic and Feul. I use to go to concerts all the time and now I can't remember the last one I went to. edit: Oh yeah I can, it was the Fresh Beat Band a few years ago with my kid.

I think you combined a couple...Soul Asylum, Semisonic, Tonic.. But they all were sorta similar. Ugh on Creed... Even their first cd!!(preemptive Creed lover defense)

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
