OK, let's talk about the Lions

Last time (2011) Stafford had 5 TD passes and they lit us up for 49 pts. I'm betting the team gets a lot of looks at that game film.

I don't know how much validity that game will have, since there's a new regime coaching the Lions now. We may be able to pick up individual tendencies, but I think the overall team schemes will be different than in 2011.

Stafford's one of my favorite Qbs to watch.  Looks like he might be turning the corner finally.

Like most of you said, gonna be all about pressure and trying to keep that O out of rhythm and/or off the field as much as possible.  I can't wait to see Cam back.  Leggo!

They are a terrifying offense on paper. But then I feel like the Lions are ALWAYS a terrifying offense on paper. Seem to have problems delivering against good teams, though.

This.

The Lions are making a name for themselves as the team with the most potential never realized. If this were in Detroit I would give the Lions this game by multiple scores. But, on grass...potentially in the rain? I think the game swings the other way by multiple scores.

It won't be about analyzing their game plan, it'll be about making sure the D knows what their QB is capable of doing.

Get the running game going and dominate time of possession.

The way to beat Stafford is collapse the pocket and double Megatron wherever he goes.  He throws it up for grabs and counts on Calvin and the tight end to make the catches.  Pick him a few times and suddenly he gets cautious and makes mistakes.  Sure they are going to get yards but we need to keep them under 20 and we should be okay.

If you play zone or single cover Calvin then you are a fool or the Giants, take your pick.  But they are very beatable especially on the road.  Stafford doesn't do that well on the run or when under pressure
