The Redskins name didn't allegedly savagely beat a women, and was "convicted". Hardy's story can be spun and quoted too easily without going into facts.

You know who's loving this whole Ray Rice incident that has spread into a witch hunt in our 24/7 news cycle?

Danny Boy Snyder... 2 weeks ago the "latest" outrage was the Redskins name.

Congress was involved, news publications (including our beloved CO) were all jumping on boycotting the name

Now, Congress is involved in this issue, major publications are calling for more suspensions before due process, etc.

People wonder why Congress doesn't get anything done, but us as the American public have no attention span anymore. Politicians never have to commit to anything because the public has no focus and neither do they

The obsession with the next big issue proves this

Really my take away from that was, if he did everything they said he did, how the fug is that a misdemeanor with a 60 day jail sentence?

 

Ray Rice wasn't even charged. Hardy allegedly beats the poo of Holder and threatens to murder her, and that's a misdemeanor?

I think Rivera's locker room is probably as focused as ever.  The only thing that has changed in the Hardy case since camp started is the fact that the media has put a target on him in the reaction to the whole Ray Rice thing.  Baltimore was not a last minute add to the schedule and suspect the team has known this for a while.  I dont think anyone in the locker room (including Suh) gives a fug what Cam says to the media and the way he pronounces someones name.

I don't think the media circus will have any negative effect on the team's performance. Nothing's changed except the rabble rousing from some media and some fans, and players have years of experience in ignoring that kind of crap. If anything, I think it'll serve to give 'em more focus on the game.
