MSNBC Morning Joe: Hardy, Panthers and the War on Women

Fug bending to the media. We would have less integrity if we sat him and disregarded the NC legal process and our original position of letting the legal process play out.

Fug this sensationalist bull, let the guy play until he is judged guilty by a jury of his peers.

This. And who watches msnbc anyway? Hope big cat is comfortable enough in his own skin to run his shop how he sees fit.

Didn't the NFL say they would let the Ravens off with the cap hit of letting Rice go?

The only way we let Hardy go right now IMO, is if Goodell tells JR there will be no cap implications...we add the money owed to him next year to roll over to next year's cap. Then, things may get interesting. .00001% chance of the league allowing it though.

Nope.

They eat 9.5 mil in dead money from Rice next year.

What's amazing is that you guys are so caught up on the fact that Hardy was or wasn't found guilty. Hardy is now guilty in the court of public opinion, and right now, that's all that matters.

Goodell, as crooked as he is, said that you don't have to be guilty in a court of law to suspend a player. I would not be surprised to see the league head towards Hardy next, with macdonald third.

    • The aversion to tying up too much money in the ground game when it’s what’s winning us games is crazy to me. I get letting Rico walk if you think he’s easily replaceable but I don’t see many people arguing that, just applying an arbitrary salary cap based on what we think RBs are currently worth. I’d rather be stuck with Hubbard as an overpaid backup (not the worst one to have, mind you) than lose out on the most productive player on the offense personally.
    • Why do people keep saying things like “it’s not Young’s fault we spent so much to draft him”? Who cares if it’s his fault?  Nobody is saying send him to jail or anything.  People aren’t talking about blame for the decision to draft him, they’re talking about how bad he is as a QB and how we’d be much better with even an average QB.  Pointing out that we sunk a lot of resources into drafting him isn’t invalidated because he didn’t make that decision himself. Doesn’t matter whose fault that was, he’s still not playing like a QB who was drafted at all, much less one that cost two firsts, two seconds and a #1 WR.
