RB Situation

God forbid I suggest Jonathan Stewart shares some blame for averaging 2.4 yards per carry. If this was DeAngelo Williams you'd be calling for his head.

No...you have no clue. Just read some of the stupid stuff you posted in the game day thread if you can't remember.

3 different people tried to explain this to you, yet you still don't get it. Not surprising.

Good god, all I suggested is Jonathan Stewart's output has been inconsistent. Sorry I'm not bowing down before him.

I bet you are one of those types that only watch the ball. Which is fine. The only problem is, you miss what is going on. And you miss some important stuff. Like blocking. Or the lack thereof.

Lol.

Look, if you want to justify a 2.4 YPC average, go ahead. You can say poor blocking is a mitigating factor. But you cannot blame it entirely on it. Especially when other backs have done just fine with it.

I give up. You go ahead and whine about the results. Ignoring the cause appears to keep you blissfully unhappy.

I'd sooner bring Stephen Hill up than Reaves and roll with Williams, Stewart, and Tolbert, just because if we don't, some other team (Cinci might be without AJ Green) will sign him off our practice squad.

Try Hill out a couple games now that he knows the playbook then decide whether or not to keep him once Frank the Tank is ready to come back.

I'm not whining about the results. I'm saying I'm concerned with how Jonathan Stewart is playing, that he is very good in the passing game but inconsistent in the running game.

But of course, that means I irrationally hate Jonathan Stewart and can't possibly understand that the line might be contributing somewhat.

stewart is lookin buff, and he put in work today...that shoulder punch move he does is awesome! i honestly thought our run blocking was awful, but was impressed with stewy's patience and improvisation when gaps closed. with his balance, he can really take advantage when a defense doesn't play to the whistle. i was nervous that donkey-kong, or cam's fat auburn team mate was gonna fall on his ankle, but i don't feel so nervous moving forward after today.

2.4 yards doesn't concern me either, imo he looked strong, agile, heady and decisive. i'm concerned with the continuity of the o-line when we run the ball though...but with the rest of the team playing so well, it may buy the o-line enough time to put it together, which i believe will happen.

IMHO, comparing Stew with DWill, Stew's the stronger runner.  He had multiple plays today where he was able to get more yardage after first contact.  How many guys did he have around him on the carry down to the goalline?  Not dissing DWill, but he seems to be more of an open field runner with the ability to make people miss, and with our run blocking, he's not getting that.

So yeah, put me down for being more impressed with how hard he fought and less concerned about his YPC.
