What did you think of Ealy?

Yeah I saw that as well. Surprised it wasn't called it was blatant and right in front of a ref.

Any time Jerone is the ref the panthers get screwed is the penalty department. DET was lucky they got that crew because they were getting away with a bunch.

CJ took some time to develop. Ealy has got the measurables, let's see if he as the desire to be a great d-end. did not notice personally notice anything positive or negative from him today.

as we saw with almost of Hurney's picks, second rounders are no guarantee

Boger is easily the worst ref in the NFL.  I said it to my Bucs friend I was chatting with when the first penalty happened and I saw it was him.  Today we didn't have as many complete WTF moments from him as I expected but the Lions were getting away with a lot of poo.

We don't need Ealy or Hardy right now with Addison beasting. If Hardy is found innocent in November we'll have him back for the late season and playoffs if we make it. And Ealy won't be needed 'til next year or later anyways. He's got time to develop.

Not to knock Addison's effort today, it was great but both his sacks came late in the 4th during garbage time. It is a bit worrisome he didnt get close to Stafford early on when it was still a game.

I cant wait until big Fran comes back, I think Alexander can be a legit DE

I don't think it was garbage time at all. The Lions' starters were all still playing.

    • Got to talk to Tiny Lister once back when I worked for AT&T.  He was a nice guy.
    • The team signed undrafted rookie JJ Weaver from Kentucky. The 25-year-old Weaver played six seasons in college (with injury waivers), and had 21.5 sacks. He was a three-time team captain for the Wildcats. To make room for him on the roster, the Panthers released outside linebacker Amare Barno. Barno, a sixth-round pick in 2022, tore his ACL late in the 2023 season and began last year on the physically unable to perform list. He had 3.0 sacks in three seasons, appearing in 29 games. Sad to see. He seemed to have a lot of potential when he was drafted. Injuries really derailed him though.
