I know its only been 2 games but if you cant see that Cotchery and Avant are much better fits for our offense than our receivers last year im not sure what to tell you. We dont need burners, we dont need home run hitters. We need guys that are gonna catch the ball in traffic past that marker and move the chains. Theres truly no one in the league better than Avant or Cotchery at doing that

Ted Ginn was good for about 2 receptions a game and a good downfield threat that stretches the defense.  But even more valuable as a punt returner.  In 2 games, he already has a punt return for a touchdown.  Yes I miss him.

You do realize that to get Ted Ginn on the field, another player would first have to come off?

 

From last game:

Avant - 5 catches for 54 yards, no drops.

Cotchery - 4 catches for 46 yards, no drops.

 

Now which one of those are you saying you want to replace with Ginn's 2 catches? And how is that helpful to the team overall?

Ted Ginn sucked. I don't miss seeing him drop 2-3 perfect deep balls from Cam every game. Also, he was pretty average as a return man last year. Giving him $3.3mil a year would've been stupid.
