Through week 3, the 2014 Carolina Panthers have increased productivity at the WR position in all stats except for touchdowns. One big variable here was the loss of Cam Newton in week 1. Cam started all three games in 2013.

 

I much prefer this season's receivers. Kelvin Benjamin has out performed Steve Smith. Behind him are four receivers capable of making a play instead of only two.

 

Dave Gettleman is so far once again proving the offseason pundits wrong.

That's great. Thid current core of WRs are definately better. If only Gettleman proved pundits wrong on the o-line...

Gettleman so far has shown that he is making good decisions for the team. I agree the offensive line is, offensive. Going cheap there is going to ensure that Cam suffers more during the season and the running game has not yet found its wheels.

Yeah, I do not get why he didn't get some kind of upgrade at one of the tackle spots. Maybe they were trying to convince themselves that they were better than awful.

DG said he would need two years and he made a judgement call this season on which position to improve and so far it seems like the right one starting at 2-1 hopefully he continues to prove many of us wrong

I am with you. I just hate seeing Cam bum rushed so much and that we have no ability to run effectively at this point. Our RBs are all banged up and Cam is very gimpy...thank goodness our passing game is more effective.

just looking at the stats in reference to those TDs less this year is simply because of lack of redzone Sunday... we certainly have improved...

 

I guess they decided to shut up about our WRs and take us up on Hardy drama

Kelvin has been great already and he hasn't even gotten a lot of the timing down with Cam yet.

He's made some ridiculous catches and dropped some easier ones. If he can put together a complete game, he may finish with 200 yards and 2 touchdowns or so.

That's projected to be close to 1400 yards and 11 TDs by KB...and he is only going to get better
