I think even my sister can understand OC and HC are two completely different things.

Chud did great as an OC which got him a HC gig. What he does as a HC is irrelevant as we are talking about OC abilities not HC abilities

The numbers, stats, and records speak for themselves.

He was then outed easily. Fired after one year. Which again, bad HCs don't even get fired after a year. You have to be a fraud. Chud was.

Letting Cam be a one man show isn't being a good OC....highlight trick plays Norv's son copied from dad didn't make him good either

True, which is why I don't like ball control O bc you work signifcantly out of your comfort zone when things go bad. Handicaps you in certain scenarios.

Means if ST or D stinks or you hit injuries.....the team win mindset becomes tough to achieve.

If we get some talent around Cam I will be ready to bring in a new OC. Right now, ball control IMO likely gives us a good shot. We are weaker around Cam than I think many acknowledge

 

I think it's time we put more faith in Kelvin Benjamin. He's the guy that can make this offense go. If defenses respect him more then that helps everything else. I wish we would take more shots down field with him.

So? He plays ball control so Chud simply got more drives. He wasn't better with them.

Jeff Davidson's offense had good numbers in 2008. He sucked. Talent driven league. Williams breaking off 60 yard runs every week wasn't Davidson. Was Kedrick, Otah, Hoov blowing chumps up on basic calls and Williams going off.

Situatonally, Chud is the worst OC we have had in years and we have had a collection of bad ones.

You want to talk about situational playcalling? If it weren't for Cam bailing his ass out, we would have lost 4 games last year because of Shula's stupid playcalling all game. Miami game = Cam bailed him out on 4th and 10. Saints game = Cam bailed his ass out from a HORRIBLE called game on a miraculous drive. We almost lost to the Falcons the last game because of a stupid conserative call. We lost to the 49ers in the playoffs because of stupid playcalling. Running up the middle 6 straight times on one of the top rushing defenses is stupid playcalling. Shula's situational playcalling is no better than Chud. Chud just didn't have the luxury of having an elite defense or a mature Cam at the time.

There is a reason why no one uses the bolded in any offensive rankings. It is all about points at the end of the day. 

 

Shula should actually have more drives and a shorter field due to the Defense he has backing him up.

If Chud has prowess and was a good offensive mind.....and coach....he wouldn't of been fired after 1 season. You know how bad you have to be to get 1 yr?

 

Do you know how the Cleveland Browns operate? That wasnt surprising, and their offense was pretty good, QB issues held them back.

We lost in the playoffs bc the fact we had a weak OL and weak traditional rush finally caught up to us....coupled with our main WR could only get his hobbled self up for about a half.

Honestly, I just wish we could get a good OC that is competent. I'm tired of having either a too aggressive OC or a too conservative OC. All of that is a moot point anyway at this point. I just hope he calls a good game today so we can get back on track.

I'll just leave it at this. Chad knew how to use a many formations and how to use players like a two TE set. Shula don't even know how to do that. Hell Shula is still using Chad's play book. Let that marinate in your minds for a minute.

And I wish we had them both. Let Chad be OC with the assistance of Shula for he can learn ball control clock management. Let Shula continue to help Cam by being the QB coach. Win-Win outcome

At the heart of it, Shula is a QB coach

That is what I gathered from letting it marinate. He is making Cam a good QB. That IMO is what our organization cares most about
