Thank you! ...to 49rs for our new QB

I hate that Cam got injured in the game against them last year (playoff game), but the fact that Cam had ankle surgery & still can't run like 'Cam' is making him significantly better as an top notch NFL QB.

I have always loved Cam, but have never trusted his accuracy & have been very frustrated by how long he holds on to the ball in the pocket.  He is getting so much better in passing accuracy & quicker decision-making b/c he can't fall back on his legs.

This injury better heal as expected (ankles take a long time to really heal fully), but IMO it is going to help us be a much better team in the future,  Relying on a QBs legs may get you some wins, but a QB who plays well in the pocket, but has wheels when needed will win Championships (like Steve Young, Aaron Rogers, etc.).

So thanks 49rs & I hope, if we see you in the playoffs this year, that you pay dearly for the help you gave our QB/team.  ;)

The 49ers didn't injure him.  That injury dates back to his Auburn days.  It's apparently been a problem for Cam's entire career here.  I think it became a constant nagging thing last season during the 1st Saints game last season IIRC,

But nonetheless, yeah.  I think that offseason rehab was a bit of silver-lining in his development as a QB.  Once he's 100% he should be really fun to watch.

2015 100% Cam is going to absolutely destroy the league more than he already has done, especially if we can get some O-line help in

I agree.  He will be amazing to watch.  He will likely get truly healthy by the later part of this season if he doesn't take too much of a beating.

The irony of this post. Last Sunday, around this time, there was a thread or two wondering out loud if Cam should take a seat for Anderson because he couldn't use his legs, due to his injured ankle, to help this team.

Cam is the modern day Warren Moon. No matter how good he is, he is never good enough because he's being judged by those who see him as a threat to their own.

Cam having to take it easy on the core workouts as reported during the game because of the rib injury really hindered his passing. It was a perfect storm of injury. He had no ankles to run on and no strength in his core to really torque on his passes the right way and be pain free. He finally got to get back in the weight room and we see this week how his passing has improved. Game on!!!

    • yeah, Panther PR has done the Tepper is taking a backseat PR tour before.   It wasn't true at all the first time we saw them attempt that.   All the stuff you are referencing is stuff produced and put out by the Panthers.  I'm not acting like owners aren't in the war room.   I'm just saying Tepper is a proven commodity.  He is what he is.  And his tenure with BOTH his professional sports teams tell the exact same story about him.   He is not patient.  He didn't show patience last year.  He moved on from an absurd investment 2 games into the season.....and a frankly unimaginable turnaround by Bryce that was only allowed by injury reset some things.  I'm sure a billion times Raiders or Dallas or whatever fans convinced themselves their owners turned a new leaf too.  I'm not buying that.  There just isn't anything supporting Tepper isn't Tepper IMO.
    • Well last year the first team offense struggled against the Bills 3rd string defense. First string offense needed to convert a 4th down to score a TD.  If the starters play against backups and do what they are supposed to do, score easily, I’d say the reps are worth it. Would make me feel better. Unlike last preseason.
    • This right here. You also don’t want your 2 nd string oline going against their starting Dline and risk injury to whoever is taking snaps
