Mild Concussion for Benji

Mild concussion. Him playing this weekend is likely unless he wants to sit, which I would never criticize a player for after a concussion.

Him being young probably increases his odds of playing....if he has smart people advising him he might be best taking a week off

Yeah! Because they're practically putting him out there with high school talent, amirite?!?! He's the only good football player on our whole team! I'm pissed off that we haven't signed Calvin Johnson and AJ Greene for him yet. I'm amazed he hasn't just up and quit already with these awful circumstances! We owe him everything just for continuing to suit up and play for us and anyone who says otherwise is an idiot! I'm not a Cam fanboy though. Don't know what that means.

Take a look at all the other young quarterbacks and I dare you to tell me Cam doesn't have the worst supporting cast. I'm getting tired of people who want better weapons for the Panthers franchise quarterback getting labeled a Cam "fanboy". Look at my join date, and tell me I'm a Cam fanboy.

I think we have one of the least talented offenses in the NFL. The ONLY reason we're not on our way to 0-16 is because can drag our team to wins. He drags our terrible offense down the field and into the endzone. The top priority is to spend less on our overpriced defense, and start spending more on the o-line and weapons for Cam.

I am not at all a Cam fanboy, but it's crystal clear now that we need to convert to an offensive minded team. We can't continue to force Cam to do everything on offense while throwing him to the wolves with few weapons and a terrible o-line. The price for doing that is a season ending, or career ending injury for Cam. This is totally unacceptable. Dump the high priced defensive players, load up at o-line, WR, and take over the league.

Team needs a few things on offense and it would be nearly impossible to stop. Startling quality tackles, Speedy deep threat at WR to go on the other side of Benji and a Shifty speedy RB. Imagine all the option runs with cam lining up with a fast HB, fast WR coming across for the pitch. Unstoppable. lol

I agree. But I would add: if the FO wants to continue to go defense that doesn't mean they are wrong. That is their choice--they can suffer the consequences should that strategy blow up in their face.

But what gets me more than anything else is the Huddle. They complain about not having an explosive offense all season-then agree with the FO when they select another Dline men-then complain the following season about not having an explosive offense.

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
