UPDATED THROUGH WEEK 15

We're celebrating this week on the WR Stat Tracker!!! Our red zone specialist scored his touchdown with two games to spare!

Developments:

  • Touchdown!!!! (Jokes aside, I think Cotchery has been a very good possession receiver this year outside the red zone.)
  • Benjamin trades places with 89 again.
  • It's going to take 2 very good games at this point for Lafell to end up with 1000 yards, but it's possible. I don't think anyone (especially our GM) thought Benjamin/Smith/Lafell were all 1000 yard receivers.
  • While Bersin did not add to his receptions this week, he did actually return a punt!post-12988-0-81984600-1418658512.png

Yeah, I don't think anyone would expect that Benjamin/Smith/Lafell would all be 1000 yard receivers on the same team. But the fact that they all have produced so well as prominent receivers on their respective teams proves without a doubt in my mind that they would be a collective nightmare for defenses if they were on the same team.

That's not necessarily an argument for thinking they should all be Panthers right now given salary cap issues, but they'd be a collective nightmare all the same.

Lafell is still Garbage.  Brady is great and it pains me to say it but its so obvious.  He makes receivers out of nobodies and hes done it year after year.  Smitty is running on fumes and anger at the Panthers.  I love him till I die but I knew he would play out of his mind this year.  Ted Ginn is being Ted Ginn.

We got better at WR.  Simple and Plain.

throw to Lafell the same amount and you would get pretty much the same production.

Not sure about that.  NE's system has proven it makes receivers not the other way around.  We expect different things from WR's in this "offense". *shudders*

the numbers here show it is true. Garbage means you can't do well anywhere, I suggest more of the garbage has to do with our system.

UPDATED THROUGH WEEK 16

Developments:

  • Not much to talk about here; Benjamin almost got to 1000 yards, but we'll have to wait until next week.
  • Nicks put up good numbers in a blowout loss to move ahead of Philly Brown.
  • Poor Ted Ginn has suited up for all 15 games and has 6 more targets than Brenton Bersin.
  • One more week, and my Huddle duties are complete.post-12988-0-98296000-1419278972.png

    • Having trouble finding all these articles saying the Raiders withheld information. Here’s the latest from Crosby’s surgeon: ElAttrache told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning that Crosby was "doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program." "We truly respect the work of the Ravens' staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process," ElAttrache said. "This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear."     So the Ravens excuse is the future risk assessment based on the physical, not that the Raiders withheld information. They found an excuse to save face publicly. They had the right to cancel the trade for no reason at all, but they’re trying to save face with the most acceptable reasoning they can find. I’ve heard and seen the Ravens getting dragged everywhere for this. You know what would be an easy way to put a stop to that if you’re the Ravens and the Raiders were actually the shady ones withholding information? Just come out and say that you were not given all the medical information. But they aren’t saying that. I guess they’re just taking the bullet for the Raiders just because?    Speculation indeed.
    • Two first round picks for a guy with very questionable knees who will be 29 this summer. Yes it is safe to say the Ravens got cold feet.
    • The salary cap is the reason we got Phillips and Lloyd
