No, you can also cut people to make space if necessary.  And trade away overpriced players as well in any trade where you'd consider acquiring an overpriced player. It comes down to whether or not you're thinking you can really win it all right now (or in Idzik and/or Ryan's case, save your job).

But it's really neither here nor there. LIke I said, I never wanted Harvin. He is worse than Smitty was when Smitty was that age: a problem, overpaid and not producing.  I am basically daydreaming in any scenario.  You're basically just preaching to the choir.

But, seemingly unlike you, I realize that if all parties involved want to get something done to make it all work out that's what they'll do.

You keep mentioning Cam. Cam would probably be willing to structure his contract in such a way to bring more talent in.

Are you arguing with yourself? :startle: Lol

Another "YOU KNOW WHO", with out his great career and consistency.

Hopefully, now Panther fans should recognize why the Panthers got rid of that guy, seeing it through another team.

Yes, that other guy is playing well now in that mid Atlantic/East Coast City. But just wait for some time to progress, when he eventually wears out his welcome, as he did here. New Beginnings, are always nice for Malcontents; except until they stay for a while. Just ask Percy Harvin, or the Seahawks.

This is a WR who is only a threat running the ball. They had to get creative to get him the ball because he can't run routes and catch consistent enough.

He didn't have any problems catching it with the Vikings.  He averaged 70 catches and around 800 yards per season.  His problem has been injuries.

Cutting players doesn't void their contracts. You still have to pay them. Here's our big dead money of players that we cut, traded, or retired- we still gotta pay them. (Yes, Joe Adams makes a 1/4 mil to do nothing)

Jon Beason $8,000,000 Steve Smith $5,000,000 James Anderson $2,800,000 Jordan Gross $1,725,000 Geoff Hangartner $666,668 Haruki Nakamura $365,834 Joe Adams $233,776 Tiquan Underwood $175,000 Sione Fua $126,504

Wow!!

The Panthers, are really paying $8million towards John Beason!?

Geesh!

$5mil to Steve Smith we know about.

And of course, the $13+ mil to Greg Hardy.

It just makes your eyes tear. Lol

Other than Hardy that money was paid up front when they signed their contract. It just a matter of it being spread over time for the cap hit.
