How do you feel as a Panthers fan if John Fox and the Broncos win the superbowl?

nah the discussion in here has been pretty level headed so far in spite of you being up to your usual business of shitting everything up trying to be that edgy guy

Actually, I find it funny that people time and time again have to point out that Fox is only having success due to a stocked team and the best QB of our lifetime. That, is bitterness. Nice try though. That's why this thread is as long as it is. People just have to get their Fox barbs in. I'm sorry he couldn't get it done here with a crappy QB, crappy GM, and crappy staff.

This topic was created for the purpose of discussing fox and his tenure with the panthers in the context of Denver's success. That's what people are doing so maybe you should just open up notepad and type your earnest feelings about our former head coach if you don't like opinions that aren't in lockstep with your own or can't stand people not cupping his balls.

Yeah what a crazy idea a loaded team quarterbacked by the best player of our generation with a loaded roster is having success. Only bitter losers would dare argue that a defensive minded head coach might not deserve a tremendous amount of credit for that!

Can you honestly say you believe that the broncos wouldn't be as good if fox wasn't the head coach there? Your usual forced edgy contrarian persona aside I doubt it.

Also what's with this meme that fox was hamstrung by a 'bad quarterback' as if fox wouldn't have taken a bullet for Jake and he didn't keep starting him well into the armpit of 2009 even after it was obvious he was garbage by then. I keep seeing it brought up and it's a joke.

He's a steady, stay the course, keep playing my boys guy if there ever was one. Which further illustrates how his role is different in Denver than it was in Charlotte.

Fox has a great defensive mind, but is not renowned for his imagination on offense AFAIK.

Denver apparently recognized Fox's shortcomings on offense and compensated for them.

If the Broncos win the SB, maybe then the Panthers' management will catch a clue and get Rivera some help on offense as well.

Define help please? There is only 1 on field coach that I know of in the league and his name is Payton. Are you suggesting that we Nix Newton?

wuh?

you really think john fox isn't some kind of repressed offensive genius who was held back by lame quarterbacks and a bad GM in carolina?

Fair question.

A more successful/imaginative/experienced OC was what I was thinking. Newton is already one of the better QBs in the league and it seems reasonable to expect that as he gains more experience he will become even more Peyton like in his on field responsibilities.

Till then, the Panthers should be looking for an upgrade on the sidelines.

Your dislike of Fox couldn't be more obvious. And no matter how the OP phrased it, it can't be more obvious the purpose of this thread was to ask if one would be pissed off if Fox wins a Super Bowl. Thus, I laugh at anyone who blames the lack of this team's success during his time here ... on Fox alone. But, in some people's world here, our lack of success WAS due to Fox and his success in Denevr is not due to Fox.

I enjoy the fact you think I try to be "edgy" though, when in fact I'm actually just expressing my personal opinion. You know, the same type of opinions you ask for me to deal with in your first paragraph.
