Does Cam deserve "the contract" based on this season?

I'd love to have him continue to be our QB but not for what he wants.  He's not playing at a high level.  Like I said in a previous thread.  It's either good Cam or bad Cam.  Lately it's all been bad Cam.  Right now he's about as consistent as Cutler.

 

At this point I'm leaning towards putting more talent around a QB, not signing a QB with poor talent around him.

He needs to go back to the beginning of the season where he was playing better from the pocket. All of a sudden he can run and his passing game is off. Not a coincidence.

He had a bad game today, but it's not like he had help. OL sucks, WRs are decent at best, RB has been largely absent (though Stew impressed today IMO), and well, Shula.

 

 

But on the season? Cam has been great. Especially with the cards he's been dealt.

He's easily earned a great contract...and he'll have a tough time picking this team over any other team in the NFL even if we offer the most.  I can't blame him.
