10. Panthers: Despite questions about his polish prior to the draft, first-round Kelvin Benjamin has done a beautiful job replacing Steve Smith as the top wideout. Benjamin could vault Watkins as offensive rookie of the year with their production virtually identical. G Trai Turner and DB Bene’ Benwikere have been spot starters. The Panthers may rue losing RB Tyler Gaffney after trying to slip him through waivers in July as an injured player. The Patriots pounced on him.

16. Saints: It’s almost literally been all about first-round WR Brandin Cooks, who is becoming an increasingly bigger part of the game plan. Second-round CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste is a non-factor so far, and New Orleans gave up on fourth-round LB Khairi Fortt.

23. Buccaneers: First rounder Mike Evans has shown the chops to eventually become the No. 1 receiver. TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins’ first career TD Sunday put the Bucs ahead before his OT fumble cost them the game — the life of a rookie.

26. Falcons: LT Jake Matthews will probably have QB Matt Ryan’s back for the rest of his career, but he’s struggled noticeably as part of a decimated line. LB Prince Shembo has been the most reliable contributor thus far.

How in the world could they justify having the Vikings above us? McKinnon has been merely decent after starting only a few games, Teddy has looked horrible 90% of the time and Barr had only 1 impact play in 8 games so far.
