Does anybody think we upset Philly next week?

Certainly can. Philly is 5-2 but mostly close games and their D is giving up points. I don't think we will be a huge underdog but could be wrong.

We could still limp into the playoffs however if we fall behind NO by another game we are basically done.

What other teams HAVE DONE against competent teams doesn't matter when they face the Panthers any more than west coast teams like Seattle playing at 1pm on the east coast or the Saints playing the Panthers on a short Sunday night - Thursday night turnaround mattered like it would have if they would've been playing a team with a clue. The Steelers were supposed to have the worst run defense in the league and not be able to run the ball, until they played the Panthers.

None of what a team "usually" has problems with matters when the Panthers are the next opponent.

Stop and ask yourself why every team's "weakness" becomes a strength when they play the Panthers, and then you'll understand why the Panthers' coaching staff should be fired.

I think we lose

However I think if Shula was stop the read option and run the ball conventionally with our backs, power runs and let Cam play playaction with greg and swole bones. I think we have a chance. Also work Philly into the number 1 or 2 spot. We need speed

I don't think so. I think the season was lost when Ron played for a field goal vs cinci on the road.

Or when Gano missed the FG in regulation, or when Benjamin got called for offensive pass interference in the endzone negating a TD that probably would've put the game out of reach in regulation, or when Cotchery failed to make the game-winning catch in the endzone in overtime.

The season was lost plenty of times in that game, which I said all that day. Funny how other people realize it weeks later after they've seen other games lost since. It was clear how this would play out as soon as each of the three things in the first paragraph happened. Cam hasn't been the same since that Cotchery drop.

Yes I'm still confident we can go undefeated the rest of the season and win the division at 10-5-1.

Honestly i'm still holding out on hope but right now this team can't do anything right. If we lose to the Eagles that should probably be it for our playoff hopes. More losses could probably be it for this coaching staff.

    • When you analyze what Tulsky has done the only positive was getting Ehlers, he blew the Gentzel signing, whiffed on Rantanan, signed Miller who is a terrible fit, never addressed the goalie problem, signing a declining Freddie instead, and wasted a ton of cap space this year with inaction. My verdict is he might be great at analytics but sucks as a general manager.
    • If you think the refs we have are bad, you probably don't remember just how bad it got the last time they used replacement refs... including an incident of a Packers fan ref massively influencing a game. The NFL, when you consider all the other things tied to it like TV rights, betting, stadiums (construction, ticket prices, heck even parking and concessions), plus merchandizing, is probably a trillion dollar industry. Give the refs what they want, pay them and let's get back to having games.
    • Probably.  You never know.  It always amazes me to think how many times they miss on first rounders (about 50%) and the number of misses increases every round.  Then there are UDFAs that make the team every year.  I guess we are always looking for the next gem--but most never make it.  Funny, I was at dinner last night and there was this big guy with a WCU shirt on.  I recognized him--that OT from Western that we gave a tryout last year or the year before--Smith.  He explained his experience--just wanted to see how he could hold up against the big boys.  He played a preseason game and was terrible, fwiw.
