You know what my favorite part about all of this is?

My HARD EARNED money pays for P-S-f*cking-L's to this garbage. I work very hard just like so many of us do and I absolutely can not believe the dollar store makeshift bullsh*t NFL team I am seeing right now.

I am TIRED AS SH*T of the way that this organization is managed.

I am TIRED AS SH*T of watching this team poo the bed on a national stage.

I am TIRED AS SH*T of this team vicariously living Einstein's definition of insanity on a year-to-year basis.

I will never stop supporting this team, but from this point forward I will being doing it from the comfort of my couch. This organization does not deserve my money. And I know my money doesn't matter to them. I know my measly few thousand dollars would just be used to wipe Richardson's 100 year old wrinkled ass.

But you know what? It matters to me because I don't have a lot of opportunities to splurge on things that I enjoy. And at this point, I don't give a rat's hairy ass about my seats anymore.

Sorry I needed to vent

I still am buying my PSLs in 2016.

I don't care if we completely implode and never win a game between now and then.

I love the Panthers with all their worts, and am happy to have this team to pull for.

I would think you might get a good deal this year on some given all the whining and bitching if you swing it.

So how long have you had your PSLs.  If you had them in 2010 you should be used to the routine of one good, 2 mediocre and then one horrible season.

They were passed for me to begin paying for in 2011, though I've been sitting in the seats since 96.

I know the drill just like we all do.

But that's the problem. That's my problem. It should be all of our problems.

I'm ok with rebuilding, the occasional disappointment. Hell, I'm ok with losing.

But I'm not ok with the same organizational structure failing for 20 years. I'm not ok with 12-4,8-8,7-9,11-5,8-8.7-9.6-10 anymore. I want a vision, a direction, and an entertaining product for which I feel comfortable spending my money.

If we were losing with an understood vision that I agree with, I'd be whistling a different tune.

But right now, this vision looks the same as Hurney's but more frugal. AND THAT DOESN'T WORK FOR ME ANYMORE.

I'm typically patient and optimistic look at my previous posts, but I blew a gasket last night and my BP is still high. This is bigger than this season and one game. This is complacency and acceptance of average at best and of mediocrity and that's bullsh*t.

That's not allowed in any of our professions, it's unacceptable.

I don't think that we know what Gettleman's philosophy is at this point.  He has been making due with what he could find and unwinding the cap hell we have been in.  Until then all we know if that he might not be as good a talent evaluator as he thinks he is.

Last night was the first time I've ever "left" a game early. I stopped watching. I just couldn't take it anymore. I tried. I really, really did, and I outlasted some others ... but in the end, I just couldn't do it.

Still have my PSLs, and it is my hope to start using my seats again (surgery in December, so many next year?) ... but damn, that was disappointing, an understatement.

the coffee?

Ha, Yes and no.

I guess when I looked at the big picture. 20 years of...this? The same thing over and over? That just isn't ok for me.

Not with the potential and the players we've got that I believe we're currently wasting. When people ask me to describe the Panthers I say "they've got some really seriously good players, but they just don't have a good team."

It's just tiring from so many different angles for me.

    • Hello, soccer fans [crickets, tumbleweed flies by]. The World Cup kicks off in less than 2 weeks and, well, 🇺🇸USA USA USA🇺🇸 and all. We beat Senegal 3-2 yesterday in a tune-up friendly at BoA, with Christian Pulisic finally entering the scoring column.  How will we do in the World Cup once our tournament kicks off on the 12th? Well, there are 48 teams (assuming Iran is there) and it feels like one of two thing happens: we get grouped for the first time since '98, or we make it to the Round of 16 for the third time in the last four World Cups. I tried out the lottery for an Atlanta game and struck out, so yesterday was as World Cup as I'll get for in-person ($285/ticket for like Norway vs $39/ticket for USMNT right beforehand was a layup).  The U.S. has a travel-heavy schedule in group play, playing in LA, Seattle and LA. Real road warrior mentality being built. Glad the east coast gets worse kickoff times for a NA World Cup than a Qatar World Cup.
    • Well, that's the thing. Drafting players only for their physical measurables as you are suggesting only really happened during 2024, and X unfortunately has become the poster child for that. To be clear, it's not necessarily about drafting RAS over skill, but RAS over NFL-readiness and/or a solid body of work. Lots of players show skill in college, but those skills don't necessarily translate to the NFL for a multitude of reasons. But, getting back to the main point, to be clear, I believe that our FO is still enamored with physical gifts (who wouldn't be?), but now they're letting Dr. Eric Eager's proprietary system--his "secret sauce" prioritize the players that the Panthers draft, and it seems like it weighs not only a solid body of work, relative to a college career of course, but consistent gradual improvement as evidenced by production pretty highly.
    • Its a good article about how pathetically bad our past drafts ('23 and '24) have been. Building the team in '23 since we weren't ready yet and taking your qb in '24 made so much more sense in hindsight. Ladd McConkey over XL is pretty much a given but not sure it does as much to change Bryce's trajectory as the author suggests.  As bad as '23 and '24 drafts were, the '25 and '26 really give me hope.
