I really think that Cam is playing in order to maintain his leadership ad avoid a quarterback controversy. What would happen if Anderson came in and played better which wouldn't be hard to do. Would that hurt of help Cam in the eyes of the rest of the team.

That is the only thing that makes sense with our normal conservative approach to injury.

And why Ir so he can't practice with the team. You can sit him without putting him on IR especially if everyone agrees he isn't injured.

Everyone doesn't agree he isn't injuired. Cam annoyingly answered that everyone should know he isn't healthy. We all knew that before the season started. Now we have a banged up version of the hurt version.

You can IR Cam and he can't still be part of the team. All it means is he won't be running the scout team. Less media drama that way

If you IR him he can't return participate in practice and dress for games, etc.  The definition of being placed on Ir is for a major injury that prevents him from playing or practicing for at least 6 weeks.  So if you IR him he is done and so is his leadership role on the team for that season particularly in the eyes of other players.  It is better to sit him and let him come back in a few weeks unless you need the roster spot.
