Who would you choose?

ThinkAboutIt

If you were starting an organization/team from scratch and you **had to** choose one of the following individuals as one of your key pieces, which one would you choose?

"Whom would you choose?"

And never end a sentence in a preposition.

I'm a grammar snob as well, but I would much rather people use "who" incorrectly rather than "whom" incorrectly. Not many things sound sillier. And where did he use a preposition at the end of a sentence?

And for the record, a "None of the above" destroys the purpose of the question lol.  You said "had to choose".

I disagree. I originally left that choice out, but added it because refusing to choose any of them would still be valuable information. "None of the Above" doesn't have to mean "someone else." It just means, I wouldn't want any of them.

That's fair.

You would choose who or you would choose whom?

There is no preposition at the end of the sentence, I am being a smart ass.

I alreadY know Jerry Richardson literally started a football team here in the Carolinas from scratch.

In the literal sense of the word you would need an owner to start an NFL team from scratch so I would take the owner

If I took Cam I would just have a QB and no team

I don't even see how this is a question.

Let's see...

Jerry Richardson:  owner since inception of the Panthers franchise and in 20 years we've never put together back to back winning seasons.

Gettleman:  2nd year GM who seemed to do a great job in his 1st season, but seemingly a horrific job in his 2nd season.  Jury is definitely out here.

Rivera:  started out with two losing seasons and was on the hot seat after starting out poorly in his 3rd.  Caught lightning in a bottle and somehow pulled off a 12-4 season managing games much more aggressively than previously, but then immediately reverted back to his old self in his 4th season with a contract extension under his belt.

Cam:  Broke all kinds of records in his 1st and 2nd seasons.  Elite physical talent.  Has predictably struggled with Shula as OC and a terrible supporting cast on offense.

If Cam was to hit the open market, more than a few teams would be clamoring for his services.  Rivera probably wouldn't even get an HC interview.  He'd be a hot DC candidate, but we aren't talking about him as a DC.  Same thing with Gettleman.  Lots of teams would be interested in having him in the front office, but I'm not sure any other franchise would be begging him to be their GM.  JR?  LOL!  I'll always respect the man for bringing an NFL franchise to the Carolinas, but he has always put the NFL as a whole ahead of his own team.  There are very few fan bases out there who would trade their ownership for him.

    • If he is BPA, then yes. I am a believer in Dan at this point and hope that he doubles on his strat from last draft.  T-Mac wasnt the biggest need, but at a first round position, over-drafting for need is bad.  We had XL coming back (we didnt know he'd catch rabid Racoon Disease in the offseason and forget how to be even an acceptable WR), Thielen coming back (yes...old AF thielen was a 1k reciever) and Coker coming off a surprising season...if you asked RIGHT AT THIS SAME POINT LAST OFFSEASON if we should draft Defense or T-Mac where we were last year, I guarantee 70-80% would have said "WHY THE fug ARE WE TAKING A RECIEVER!?!?!".  We're getting close, but you build a winning roster by Drafting studs in the first round and depth after, and Studs dont come from "Well we needed a Long Snapper", they come from "I dont care if we don't need a Receiver, That dude is THE DUDE"
    • I honestly don't care about NBA talent. Our last championship team was light on it. The team that went to the title game was light on it. I wanna win college games. I haven't watched a full NBA game in probably 15 years. I barely remember one and doners, whether their ours or elsewhere. It's one of the reasons why my hatred of duke has cooled. Their players don't hang around long enough for me to even know their names.
    • Should hopefully pick up a half-game on the Sixers and Heat tonight. Also possibly the Hawks and Magic. 🐝🐝🐝
