FB: Brad Hoover, Tony Fiammetta

T: Jordan Gross, Jeff Otah, Jonathan Palmer

G: Travelle Wharton, Keydrick Vincent, Duke Robinson, Mackenzy Bernadeau

C: Ryan Kalil, Justin Geisinger

TE: Gary Barnidge, Jeff King, Dante Rosario

WR: Steve Smith, Muhsin Muhammad, Dwayne Jarrett, Kenny Moore, Ryne Robinson

DE: Julius Peppers, Charles Johnson, Everette Brown, Tyler Brayton, Hilee Taylor

DT: Damione Lewis, (player to be determined, it will be someone not currently a Panther), Marlon Favorite, Corvey Irvin

Notables that won't make it: Jason Carter, Larry Beavers, Geoff Schwartz, C.J. Wilson, Nate Salley, Nick Hayden

Everything else seems pretty cut and dry. What do you think?

I could definitely live with that roster but as we are discussing in one of the other threads I would be ok with keeping only 4 receivers or 2 tightends and use the other roster spot for another DT yet to be determined. I just don't want to take a chance on another injury there. Then we could put Beavers on the practice squad or brock, the tight end.

Rosario is definitely gone. I think they might Bring Fiammetta or Hoover in to motion from TE to FB or something. Rosario is talented, he can do a lot when he gets the ball in his hands, but he just doesn't have that sixth sense that tells him the ball is coming his way and that he should adjust his route... There's just not a lot of chemistry...

I don't where all the Ryne Robinson negativity is coming from but he will be the #3 receiver by week 6, if not sooner, bank on it.

Jarrett will have started his break out season by then. Ryne is not as fast as he once was, and he has problems catching passes.

rosario won't be cut. he has enough talent as a receiver to warrant some trade. if there is trade value there we use it.

using rosario's roster spot for a backup tackle....that would be a good idea just as long as DT is addressed first.

Robinson hasn't had a chance to return a single punt/kickoff yet. Both times he's been in on return duty they went out of bounds IIRC. He looked pretty comfortable on offense and could be a viable #4 option for us at WR. Still too early to tell on him, but if I was a betting man (I am) I'd bet he makes the team.

I was thinking he's definetly gone, not necessarily meaning he's cut. I would hope we include him in a trade for a DT if we can, allowing us to offer a lower draft pick than we would otherwise.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
