And those of you who are saying "lets take Moore because he beat some starters." The guy went 2-1, had a 67 QB rating, a 56% comp pct, lost 2 fumbles, and threw 5 INTs to just 3 TDs. This is something that I am basing COMPLETELY on potential...something of which I personally feel that Cantwell has more.

To be fair to Moore, I believe at least 2 of those INTS, and maybe even 3 were garbage play time he had before he was starting.

I don't think I've seen enough of Cantwell to say he should be ahead of Moore.

Yep, it was 3 INTs in garbage time. One against the Titans when he entered the game with 3 minutes left in favor of David Carr (one of the worst game displays of quarterbacking I have ever seen - the numbers don't do it justice).

Another was the only pass he threw in the game - a hail mary on the last play of the game against the Falcons in the Joey Harrington to Alge Crumpler disaster game. And the third was in a game in which we were losing 31-6 to the Saints in the 4th quarter.

Please God keep Moore, I don't want to hear him go to another team and be their starting QB. Cantwell is Brett Basanez 2.0 with a stronger arm. That's about it.

How? It amazes me. Matty clearly outplayed McCown against NYG, and by the end of the preseason should be in front of him. But he probably won't because he isn't 28 or older, which apparently is Fox's rules for 1st and 2nd string QBs.

From the posts on this board concerning Matt Moore, it seems to me that nobody watched our dismal season when Carr was playing and Matt Moore stepped in and did quite a good job considering he had only been with the team a matter of weeks and still managed to pull out some wins. He showed a decent pocket awareness and was willing to take hits to good to get off a good pass. Plus, he didn't get scared after taking those hits. He just got back up and finished the job. I think the kid deserves a little "moore" credit just on what he HAS shown thus far.
