No one in this thread can tell me they'd take Jake over Joe Flacco, Mark Sanchez or Matthew Stafford. Your all liars.

I'd take Flacco but not Sanchez or Stafford. I am decidedly against starting rookie QB's and that would mean 2-3 years more of Jake. So, if I choose Sanchez or Stafford, I am essentially saying I'd stay with Jake since I don't want to start a rookie QB.

Warner, E. Manning, Rodgers and Rivers are very close and could go either way. I would not want some of the QB's ie P. Manning or McNabb because they would not fit into the offensive system. They could still possibly play very well and even better than Jake but why have a guy like P. Manning if you aren't going to use him to the most of his ability.

In all honesty, your "game" is a little confusing. Are you looking for who the best fit is in Carolina or the better QB? Those are two very different questions. So before anyone starts screaming because I have Jake "ranked" as the 5th best QB in the NFL realize that I don't. I have him as the 5th best QB that would be a good fit in Carolina. And I think he is.

I made my ranking based on the overall good of the team, not whether or not Manning or McNabb's skills would be utilized enough. So I did remove that from the equation.

The game is, in a perfect setting, if you transplanted any other starter into our system with our personnel, would they be better or worse than Jake? It's all opinion-based. If you don't think that X QB would be better for whatever reason, as long as it is based on skill-set, ability to play, even future factors.

I didn't include "utilization" just because I think that muddies the issues to the point of making the exercise into a game of guessing who is going to react how.

I don't care how good of a fit Jake is in our offense, you don't take him over Drew Brees.

If McNabb was not in a WCO you would see how inaccurate he is. Hell hasn't he had only two seasons over 60% passing? That's horrible for a WC QB. Don't give me the no WR thing or if he had Smitty either. The design of that offense is a shorter passing game to get the ball to the WRs for YAC. WRs don't have to be stars to be good at that

Favre as a WCO QB is actually much more accurate than McNabb. Scary ain't it?

I feel bad for Bulger. Now there's a dude who is pretty accurate & I think a good QB and has had some bad breaks.

But as I mentioned, i think at this junction Bulger is a reclaimation project along the lines of David Carr. He has been so battered the past few years he is probably a shadow of his former self. And we all know how those reclaimation projects go. Next thing you know he'll be wearing Michael Jackson gloves

I wasn't talking about utilization as much as being effective. Think about it like this; when P. Manning came into the league it took the Colts about five years to get the personel into place for him to be able to run the offense the way he does. Our lineman would not be able to just automaticly adjust to the way P. Manning audibles and changes plays all the time. Neither would the WR and RB. There would be a learning curve there that would take years to perfect. And if they didn't try to incorperate that system into the offense would P. Manning be as good as he is in Indy?

I understand your point about not wanting to muddy up the game but if you are asking about a QB playing for the Panthers you kind of have to. If you are just talking about who is the better QB then you don't and like I said Jake would be ranked way lower.

I do like the idea of the game and it was fun to go through and look at all the QBs.

McNabb: 58.9% career passer, a 194 TD to 90 INT ratio (also 42 fumbles lost). 3 seasons at 60% or better.

Delhomme: 59.7% career passer, a 115 TD to 76 INT ratio (also 25 fumbles lost). 3 seasons at 60% or better, although one is only 3 games.

Farve: 61.6% career passer, a 464 TD to 310 INT ratio (also 66 fumbles lost). 12 seasons at 60% or better.

Gimmie McNabb any day of the week. Farve also has a 88 to 84 TD to INT ratio over the last four seasons, only one of which did he have more TD's than INTs.

Yeah, I think that goes along with removing the "who is going to react how" aspect. If you consider that, then the variables make it almost impossible to predict(which of course we all know that plugging in ANY other QB would introduce innumerable variables).

At it's core it's basically sparking debate and forcing you to defend your opinions of your own QB vs. another QB.
