Superior game plan by Ron & Co. led to ATL win

Biggest takeaway from #Falcons locker room: #Panthers came out w/ different looks than were on film. Atlanta didn't adjust quickly enough.

Then this from Roddy White;

But White also said some things that pointed directly to coaching as the reason for yesterday's loss, and he didn't say it to shift blame or throw the coaching staff under the bus. White said this in an attempt to explain what went so terribly wrong offensively against the Panthers. "They mixed up a bunch of different coverages and didn't play a whole lot of man coverages, just dropped back," White said. "They dropped eight, dropped seven, and they rallied to the ball. They did a good job of that and kind of confused us early on in the game, and they did some coverages that we weren't prepared for. And we made some adjustments at halftime, but they did a good job, man."

What?  An opponent says that we gameplanned well, changed things up and made great adjustments?  And showed a bunch of creative looks on offense and defense?

Exactly the opposite of all the bitching and whining on the huddle for the past few months. What has changed?  Has Shula and Rivera suddenly changed 180 degress or is it possible that it took this long to get everyone healthy, plug in the speed we needed and the team has gelled into a cohesive unit.  Maybe there was nothing wrong with Shula and Rivera to begin with they just didn't have the right players in the right places to run their schemes due to all the issues we have had on this team.

Classy of White to admit they got outcoached and outplayed.

That was my biggest take from this. We as fans sometimes get too passionate and let our emotions cloud our observations.

Are we sure it wasn't tha ginga?

I'd say he's part of it.

But go back to Rivera's DC days. Nobody was better at stopping elite QBs (he all but owned Peyton). Knowing how to attack opposing QBs and offenses is Rivera's biggest strength.

It's in other areas that he's lacking.

Oh I know rivera is probably one of the best if not the best defensive minds. But I look back at his comments that he leaves the coordinators to do their jobs. No doubt he was in meetings and gave suggestions though.

Also, the offense scored their first two possessions, allowing the defense to pin their ears back and really go after Ryan, and INT's.

Take not Rivera/Shula! Offense and scoring, can help your defense (or team in general)!! Embrace it! Don't be afraid of it!

THIS.

If you have a good pass rush, this plays right into your strengths.

Obviously you have to let your coordinators do their jobs, but as a head coach, you have to put your own stamp on your team.

Look at the top head coaches in the league right now, that's what they are doing.

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
