Ron Rivera has more playoff victories than Marvin Lewis

...because Lewis is terrible and hasn't won a single playoff game since he was hired, especially today when the bengals have the most talented team in the league. Even in 2011 when they played a Houston team with a good defense and a third string QB (much like the 2014 Cardinals in the playoffs) they still got their asses kicked.

Also here's a list of QBs that have won a playoff game before Andy Dalton:

Cam Newton

Andrew Luck

Russell Wilson

TJ Yates

Ryan Leaf

bengals are loaded with talent… i really think andy dalton is their main deficiency. dude simply can't lead a team down the field when the chips are down.

missing aj green today didn't help either.

i'm not sure marvin lewis really shoulders as much of the blame as OP insinuates

Don't get me wrong, Dalton is as overrated as they come. But he isn't Lewis' first QB. Lewis is the end result of a coach you'd always make the argument of "oh he just needs more talent and position x to be filled and he'll be fine". If he had Green and Burfict today the result would've been the same.

lol New England

I should disregard your list just for that inclusion

The bengals are definitely deeper player by player than half those teams you mentioned

Alright another poster added to the moron list.

To be fair, the Bengals didn't have Green, Gresham, or teir starting MLB.

But they did have all those guys last year and you know what? They lost. What was the score? 27-10, nearly identical to this one.

I don't know what the point you're trying to make. They're obviously not the most talented team in the league, and saying otherwise is hilarious. They don't have a great coach, and neither do we.

Your username is hilarious in the context of just how fuged the panthers' cap situation has been, so your opinion doesn't matter that much to me.

What's awesome is you refuse to answer the question of what you're even getting at, which has been posed more many posters. Then, you try and passive aggressively swing by and say, "WELL, I DONT CARE WHAT YOU SAY LELELELEL".

I guess that gives you reason to poo post and say absurd things.

One person tried (horribly, btw) to refute this. When your answer to any question about who is the best at anything in the NFL automatically starts with "um uh New England" you should basically change your name to "Low Info Poster"

    • People apparently forgot that offseason. Stafford and wife met with McVay in Mexico the offseason he moved. McVay convinced him to leave. Stafford went to the Lions and had a very emotional meeting in which he said he wanted to leave. They obliged based on his time there and the compensation offered(which included Goff). It was a very amicable split. People in Detroit still revere him to this day. He has been open about his affinity for them, as well.
    • going from High school to the pros would be incredibly easy
    • Smitty was a 3rd rounder.  I’m not really saying draft one high at all, 3rd being higher than I have in mind for this year. I am completely with the people that say ‘enough’ high picks on “weapons for Bryce”. Enough of that. Don’t want a weapon drafted early, Yet Again.  For that matter I wish we weren’t forced to address LOT because I want linebackers and big guys. And OL depth in the mid to late rounds. Maybe some late insurance at RB. A QB if the right one is begging for us to snap him up.    But looking at the WR room and believing Moore is sort of redundant or maybe even not a great fit,  and then just recalling the numerous calls for a burner, I was only really saying what I think would be the best type of addition.
