Seahawk DT Jordan Hill out

Yeah, that's not a good thing for Seattle. Hill had been mostly just a body previously, but he really came on the 2nd half of this season. He'll likely be replaced by Demarcus Dobbs, who the Seahawks picked up from SF earlier in the year. Dobbs played well in limited action before suffering an injury.

Hill had been playing well, but it's not a game changing loss.  Bobby Wagner erases a lot of flaws in the inside.

Hill also missed the first meeting (along with Wagner) and Stewart had 79 yards on 16 carries.  Granted we also had Mebane still.. but if Stewart was held under 80 without Bobby Wagner.. I'm not overly concerned with the Panthers running game with Wagner.

It will all ride on Cam as far as the Panthers offense goes.

That's a fair assesment, but our OL is drastically better than it was in the first meeting. RT and LG have been upgraded and their playing as a unit.

There's a reason we were the best running team in the league over the last month.

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
