So what does Gettleman do with Cam?

Cam is a highlight machine, but not so much a win machine.

Give it another season before breaking the bank because you have a crush on a player.

Look how stupid Chicago looks right now

Cams not a win machine but we just won back to back division titles and went to the playoff 2 consecutive season for the first time in franchise history. Yeah Cam sucks....fug that guy. I think we have an incredibly self loathing group of fans. Cam has room to improve and needs to be more consistent but you don't find players with his talent in every draft. We are lucky to have Cam as our QB.

We are lucky to have a guy who averages 7.5 wins per season?  5 this season.

Admit it, you are a Cam fan even if we never make the playoffs again and want him paid like he is winning championships.

I just don't agree.  Would rather make the team a winner.  If Cam plays at a certain level, then he should get paid at a certain level.  Same with every other player.

Once you start giving Hurney like contracts, ie, our RB's, then you screw your team for years.

Cam gonna count 14 million toward next years cap?  That is plenty, lets see how it works out.

I respectfully disagree with you. I'm not blindly loyal to Cam but I do remember what it was like before we drafted him. We have one thing we can agree on...I want a consistent winning team. As I said previously, first ever back to back NFC South titles and 2 straight playoff appearance for the first time in franchise history. We seem to be doing pretty damn good (in spite of Cam - LOL) I see you averaged wins per year to validate a point instead of looking at the end results. I'll concede Cam didn't play against the worst team in the league.. Tampa Bay twice but you can't win games if you don't play.

I'm not looking to get in a pissing match over this but I have an entirely different outlook than you do.

And it's real easy to do. JR has a significant stake in Bojangles. All of a sudden Cam gets a $60 million Bojangles endorsement deal and mysteriously signs a medium-level deal with Carolina. Boom. Easy enough.

Yeah...That's not happening.  Nor should it.

    • I would say that he's pulling things out of his ass to get people to visit his site.
    • Yep. I was hoping for and calling for a day three guy. But I didn’t research the position to say if we should or should‘t have jumped at a particular guy at a particular spot.    And everything I read said it was a poor draft for RBs depth wise. I guess when Seattle takes a backup RB in the 1st, that kind of backs that up.    I definitely think we should keep 4 running backs and if King can play well enough then keep him too.    I believe I heard Canales say we are a running team (talking about drafting a WR he will be needing to block as well as catch). Well if we are gonna be a running team by identity we don’t need to stock the WR room to overflowing. If one room has to sacrifice, it should not be the RB room given our circumstances.
    • If there's a pattern I'm definitely picking up from Dan and company is a philosophy of making trades where we try not to sacrifice the number of draft picks we have by day's end. In other words, we're not giving up three picks for one, or giving up a future pick to make a pick today. And even if we give up something at the start, we make trades later to make up for that initial loss. Here's how it stacked up for 2026: How we started: 19, 51, 83, 119, 158, 159, 200 How we ended: 19, 49, 83, 129, 144, 151, 227 (no future picks sacrificed) Ultimately, we moved up two spots in the second to ensure we got someone we coveted, gave up a few spots for our fourth round pick, but then had better picks in the 5th (and got really good value out of them), and had a worse 7th rounder which isn't that big of a loss anyways.  At this point, we can question who they draft, but they're pretty good maneuvering across the draft board.
