Wilson & Luck

Dexterity

We need to stop worrying about everyone else and just focus on what we need to do to put our QB in the best situation to succeed.

I get it, and that is certainly the mature and right way to go about this.

Its just tough man. When you feel like your QB is special, and then everyone in the media literally spews a bunch of BS about him its just very frustrating. What Cam has gone through and accomplished this year deserves recognition.. yet he is always just swept undervthe rug and discounted.

For me, its nothing personal about Luck or Wilson.. its the media. fug the media. I just hate how if the medis says something and the retard massed take it as fact and thats the universal opinion of Cam. Its just frustrating.

Im fuging tired of every person I come across mentioning how arrogant he is and hiw immature he is. The dude has gone through so much unfair adversity Im truly proud of how hes handeld it. He always take the blame, is accountable... damn dude.

Yet every dumb ass i meet is like "Cam needs to mature. Stop sulking. Getvthst towel off his head and quit celebrating first downs. He needs to stay in the pocket"

And then theres the guy who tells me he needs to be more like Russell wilson and I lose it

I like your point man, but I just could not read this without picturing this:

Right now I would rank them Luck, Cam, Wilson.  Cam certainly has the ability to surpass Luck in the long run, I do not think Wilson does.  He is great in that system but if the roles were reversed I just do not think he would have been as successful in Indy or Carolina the last few years as the other two.

They certainly are the top three in the twenty-six and under generation, I really have never been that impressed with any of the rest in the slightest.

Luck's rating last night was a 23, and he also had 4 rushes for 18 yards. Cam's worst EVER was a 39.4 here against the Saints this year, with injuries galore and French Canadian rookie at LT that didn't even play American football until this year. And he still had 7 rushes for 43 and a TD.

That is pretty remarkable

Wilson: 48% Cmp, 209 Yd, 1 Td, 4 Int

Luck: 35% Cmp, 126 Yd, 2 Int

Bonus

Playoffs @ Seattle

Rodgers: 56% Cmp, 178 Yd, 1 Td, 2 Int

Newton: 64% Cmp, 246 Yd, 2 Td, 2 Int

I especially enjoyed the Rodgers versus Newton stats. I had no idea.

The problem is people think if you speak highly of Russell that you're dogging Cam. Insecure much? There's room for both.

But do those same people speak highly of Cam when he deserves it and why come to the Panthers board to praise those other QB's? Go register on the Colts and Hawks forums to do that. They will welcome you.

In the playoffs:

Cam Newton (3 games) - 5 TD passes, 5 interceptions, avg QB rating (in 3 games) of 80.6

Andrew Luck (6 games) - 9 TD passes, 12 interceptions, avg QB rating (in 6 games) of 69.1

Oh man

They are neighbors and quite frankly there could be no better analogy. I've said it dozens if not hundreds of times, our head coach said it comparing Cam's passing to MJ's jumper, and now others are saying it. I also believe Cam knows it too although only he knows that. Football is clearly more of a team game and the playing field and structure for 32 teams and 53 man rosters are clearly more even than the 1990s NBA, and I'm also not saying he'll have to wait 7 years to win his first and will win 6 and play baseball two years in between, but other clear similarities to include overcoming doubters/obstacles (Pistons/Seahawks), multiple rings, jaw dropping talent, advertiser's wet dream, overall GOAT....absofreakinlutely.

"in the history of football" ?

Yes. I said in the history of football after the Cardinals game last year. It could probably even be found with effort that I don't feel like using at the moment. He was 24 at the time and is now 25 with back to back division titles after whitewashing his health, WR corps, and protection. Most QBs that play 4 years of college football peak from age 28-31. Our man is going to take over this league in the next 5 years.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
